(ok...If you are wondering about Leon and Nexol's past, this next post will serve to only lead you on and hint at things...)

Leon roars loudly, the power behind it making the remains of a building crumble, "I will have me revenge on him!" He then fell on his knees and wept....
----
Ixahrejem and his followers watched from the tall tower of a major cathedral in the Human Quarter. "Leon," Ixahrejem said mockingly, "You would have my support if you and Nexol went back as nature intended you. A man is not meant to live wihtout his darkness. And the darkness is not meant to live wihtout its light. Leon, oh Leon, what *WILL* you do? You are desssstinnnned to buuurn..." He let out a loud, saditic laugh and leapt from the tower and landed quitely on the ground. His followers did as he did and followed him as he marched south towards the main gate...
----
Hours later, every mage-guard was escorting people not fit for battle out of Arrius. The entire city was to be evacuated under the orders of Queen Melinda Motosuwa, wife of Raegib. The skies were alive with the shrill calls of the avians and the high-pitched of wyverns as their dragoon riders ordered them to circle the city. Two Elven clerics took Azira out of the city and tended to her in the Monastary of the Order of Light. they were thouroughly stumped as they examined the powerful magical presence in her body... The elite samurai, temporarily under Nexol, stood guard at the senate building as the royal Family and the senators were prepared for instant teleportation to Val, the capital of Vallahad. Everything was done within the frame of an hour and a half, much to Leon's surprise. The Neko stood befroe a mirror in his private study withing the palace that he built 6000 years ago.
"My...original body." He looked over every detail of it, and made sure it was exactly as it was when he lost it. Everything, from the wild lavender hair to the light complexion, was as it was when he lost is body. He smiled weakly and thought to himself Just like the old days when I had loyal bodyguards like Geranium, Daisuke, and Azu to watch over my family...At least I can smile about something.
Leon tuned around and looked up at the giant portrait that dominated th other wall. It was of him, a young Neko woman of the same age as him, and 8 children: five girls that resembled him and three boys who were more like their mother. Thats why I fight. to protect the memories of those I hurt. He then turned to another portrait of a human woman with green hair about the age of twenty six. She was seated on a throne, and a crown that bore the crest of Vallahad. Behind the throne, a boy who looked like a human version of Leon stood behind her, a smile on his face. He was no more than ten, but it was apparent who his father was. On the ground sat a girl wholooked identical to the woman. she was leaned up against the woman's leg, and a cocky smile wa spread across her face. A plaque below the picture: Queen Elizabeth of Vallahad and her twin children Atrius and Atria. May her highness rest in peace. The sight of the picture seemed to give Leon a distant look for a short while, but it passed quickly enough and Leonardo Virgil Motosuwa teleported out of his study, appearing next to Nexol
"I'm ready," He said quietly, a tear rolling down his cheek...

((Velorius shakes his a** at Leon chanting Nah Nah na na Nah
Anyway, I'm never sure whether I like or dislike Ignus, sometimes he seems to be similar to Velorius others a plain loon.
And evaquate the city, does Leon fear Vel that much? twisted
But I'm done with the city for now, I'm going to burn and pillage somewhere else for awhile.))

To the north of Arrius, there is the Motosuwa Mountain Range. These mountaind are inhabied by the mining villages who, by treaties, are protected under the Arrian constitution. The men here mine and farm olives or grapes, supplying famous Arrian wineries and forges with what they need to make the famous 'Arrian Blood Wine' and the 'Unbreakable Arrian Steel' plates respectively.

The attack came suddenly near dawn, teh villagers caught compleatly unprepared as hordes of Orcs descended on teh small towns defenses. Caught off gaurd and hopelessly outnumbered teh defenders were easily defeated and what followed could only be called a slaughter. Every last living person inside the walls were butchered and the town burnt to the ground.

This was a scene repeated in a dozen places in a single night, entire towns and villages wiped out all across the Motosuwa region. And in every case no survivors were found. People feared for their lives, none knew which town would be struck next and resistence was slow to form, for the Orcs controled teh countryside, attacking any they found on teh open road, disrupting trade and communication.

None teh less, stories spread slowly of a well organised army of Orcs equiped with the latest in weaponry and using tactics far more advanced than Orcs usual 'charge'. And always at every battlefield in the midst of teh carnage and the killing could be seen a figure in a red cloak weilding a massive Claymore.

((I suppose I should make myself known biggrin ))

The first time Azira awoke, it was to pain. Every nerve ending felt like it was on fire, she came to screaming, blood once again trickling out the corner of her mouth. It was too much for her to take, and she passed out again in short order.

The second time was much less dramatic, even if she was nearly sick. Her head was pounding, her mouth felt like sandpaper, she was numb from head to toe...besides the occasional painful muscle spasms. If she had any idea what a high-voltage power line was, she would feel like she had grabbed one.

"Nn...where..." Sitting up took quite a bit of effort, as her muscles weren't cooperating and signals were getting crossed somewhere between her brain and body, but she managed it, taking a look around the room she was in.

She didn't recognize it in the least, even the temple of Perún in Arrius had familiar elements. But she was too scatterbrained to dwell on it for long, all her thoughts fleeing the second she could gather them.

Ixahrejem stationed one of his followers at each of the southern villages. He gave them one order: Defend the towns and villages at all cost. He, on the other hand, went to the north to confront Velorius himself. Ixahrejem wasted no time in revealing himself to Velorius's forces. He began by roasting one legion of Orcs alive. Then he went to one of the villages and fused the corpses of the innocent with pure flame creating fire golems. He ordered them to march on Velorius's position with haste while he went and confronted the man himself...

"Do youuu wissshh tooo buuurn, Ssssshadow maan?" Ixahrejem projected his thoughts to Velorius, "Ignusssss will maake sssuuurre you buurn...eheheheheheheheheheheheheh!" He appeared a few feet from him and bowed politely, "Velorius, yes, I know your name, I challenge you to a duel..."
-----
Cyril Luther, an arch-Mage and the headmaster of St. Cyril's University, watched Azira from a corner of the cell. He was avarage human height (which is strange for an elf) with black hair and a smooth, young face.
"You really should allow yousrlef to rest some more," He said in his soft melodic voice...

((Um... well this is embarishing.... since there currently is no Velorius, you kind off got a head of me, so meet my secret weapon... the dreaded Granny Esme))

Ixahrejem found himself in a small hovel, dark and stark, the ceiling barely high enough for him to stand up. Standing in front of him was a old woman wraped in a ragged cloak, her face was covered in wrinkles and her hair was thin and grey.

The old woman looked up towards Ixahrejem, though it was obvious from her clouded eyes that she was blind. A quizical look passed her face.
"Hello sonny, no Velorius round here, ma names Esme. Sit down and I'll make ya a cup o' tea."

The old woman waddled over to the fire place and taking down a cup from the mantle filled it with a pungent dark liquid which she offered to Ixahrejem with a smile.

-------------------------------------------

Elsewhere.....

Deep in a cave system secreted in a web of sigils and magic crests is a chamber covered in octograms. Around the room were eight colored candles and in the centre was a large glowing octogram, in the middle of it was a plinth angled along the NW to SW line. Atop of it was a large lump of reddish clay roughly shaped in a human form. Out of a shadowy poral stepped one of teh Shadows, it walked over to the clay figure and taking teh Dragon Talisman it received from Velorius; placed it around the clay figures neck.

"Chaos Guardian wise and strong,
Keep him as he doth belong.
Safe within thy charge and care,
The current problem to fare.
No harm to come or ill to befall,
Gaurded and safe through it all
!
"

A faint moaning filled the cavern and the figure on the plinth took a deep gasping breath and as teh Shadow looked on the clay figure seemed to change shape, details slowly becoming apparent...

-------------------------------------------
The reports of resistence were not unsurprising what was unexpected was that it wasn't Arrian forces retaliating, another fraction becoming involved hadn't been anticipated. Still the southern towns were of little interest, the Orcs rampaged through the northern mountains the Shadows leading as generals against any sign of Arrisn rule. Slowly they closed on the fortresses of teh Dragoons who served the Lords of Arrius, who conveniently were far to teh south gaurding the city, leaving teh northern strongholds weakened....

"I've rested enough," she bit out, even though she still felt like she'd been run over by a out-of-control draft horse, and she was still shaking. "Where are we? Who are you?"

Really, all that was keeping her up was stubborn refusal to show weakness or acknowledge the fact that she hurt like hell and wanted nothing more than to just go back to sleep.

The man bowed slightly, "I am Cyil Luther, the headmaster of St. Cyril's University." He looked at Azira with a cocky smile and then added, "I am 26 years old, and I am free for a date any time you would like to go on one." He grinned again, hoping that his advance on her would help lighten the mood.
----
Ixahrejem frowned and looked around, "Now, that is a disappointment..." He then looked at the cup, "I don't eat..."

Azira would bow back, but...she didn't exactly trust herself to not tumble off the cot in the process.

"We're at the university, then?"

And if 'lightening the mood' meant 'staring with an utterly poleaxed expression,' well, consider the flirting a success.

Cyril shakes his head, "No. We are at a monastary of th Order of Light a little ways from the city. Two of my prefects took it upon themselves to take you here after the chaos died down. e thought you were...err...dead. Thank Kani you aren't I do not want to bury another fellow mageling." He looked at her then looked at the door for a moment "Can you stand?" he asked his gaze shifting back to her.

Esme shrugged and placed teh cup on a table
"Doesn't mean you don't drink, I'll leave it here if you change your mind. You immortal types are so odd, you dont eat, there is more to food than nutrition, you know."

Esme shook her head as she waddled over and sat down on a small stool.
"I'd offer you a seat but I am a simple old woman and I was not expecting company, tell me what brings you to old granny Esme, Mr....?"

"Ixahrejem. And I came here becasue something in here has an identical aura to that of a certain Velorius. Now, old woman, you will tell me what you know." Ixahrejem's cold eyes smoved over her as he examined her. He then added quietly, "We wouldnt want an accident, now would we?"
PostPosted: Fri Oct 27, 2006 11:46 am

Esme started cackling, her whole body shook with laughter, eventually she stoped tears covering her face and spoke between gasps.
"Dear boy, you'd best make yourself comfortable if you wish me to tell what I know, for I've leved through many winters and am counted wise by many, it would take years to recite all teh knowledge I have... Perhaps you have a more realistic objective though, this Velorius for instance? Tell me why do you seek this being?"

"...what did he hit me with?" She sounded confused as she swung her legs over the bench and pushed herself up. She swayed slightly, nearly stumbled, but stayed upright. "Looks like I can." She's not going to be running any marathons soon, though.

The Shadow gazed down at the town of Sutomoka; from its vantage point it could see the ring of campfires that surrounded the town. The orc army had been laying siege to the town for three days now, yet despite their superior weapons and new guns they were unable to penetrate the defences. And so one of the Shadows had been dispatched to aid the orcs in capturing the town. It was critical that the town fall soon as it was a major trading point between the north and south, once it fell the last of the northern towns would be cut of from any supplies and reinforcements. Then the army could be directed at its true objective.

But for now the town had to be dealt with and the Shadow was going to finish this tonight. Walking over to where several large orcs waited the Shadow opened a portal and stepped through followed closely by the Orcs. They reappeared right beside the main gate inside the town. As soon as it stepped from the portal the Shadow drew its sword and slayed the two men standing guard before they could utter a word. Quickly the Orcs went and opened the gate as soon as it began opening one of the orcs took out a horn and blew a note alerting the waiting army.

When the waiting orcs heard the note of the horn they charged towards the now opened gates, moment’s later horns and rallying cries came from within the town as the defenders noticed the attack. The soldiers rushed for the gate in a desperate effort to close them before the orcs outside reached them. However the Shadow stood before them and slaughtered any that approached.

The Shadow swung its sword knocking the blade from the hands of a soldier and following it up with a round house kick that snapped the mans neck. The Shadow twirled and ran its blade clean through another who approached and quickly swung down towards another, who tried to defend himself with his shield. The Shadows massive blade cut straight through the shield and arm and a moment later took the soldiers head as well.

As it turned to find its next target several arrows struck it in the chest. The Shadow looked up at the wall where the archers were reloading, but before they could get off another shot the Shadow pulled out several throwing knives and with lightening speed planted them into the archer’s throats. It then pulled the few arrows sticking from it out with out any consideration of pain and set upon its next victim.

By now the army outside had reached the gates and were pouring through overwhelming the defenders, soon the city was in flames and the towns’ people were being slaughtered.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Elsewhere in the enchanted cavern the clay figure was now looking like a carefully crafted statue of a human, save that occasionally its chest moved from time to time.

Hakudoshi jumps off from one of the burning building and ran off to the west, finding nothing but an army of orcs and shadows looking at me, he charged and jumps with high speed just befre in contact with one of the orcs and makes a run on air and tried to reach the west gate before the energy in his two feet runs out. when it is covered with dead bodies and more orcs *gah.... I can't waste Terra form with these bunch* Falls downward and sheathes his 2 samurai swords and kills the least he can do just to get a way off from the city and runs off to the Xian river and goes running with lightning speed and reaches all the way to the egde at the west side.
