Ophelia pointed out with a small pout, not buying the whole 'respecting your space' angle. Still, she wasn't going to argue any further on the matter. "I missed you so much." she muttured, snuggling herself close to Balthastern once more.

((And so my parade of failure marches on....*le sigh* My ******** start to the semester aside, I have discovered the one good thing to come out of the brony fandom. And that is the song Discord. Which a Homestuck fan made awesome. I know what I'm endlessly looping for the next week now. d^-^b ))

"I'll hold you to that." Ophelia, were she a cat, would be purring intensely that very moment. It wasn't long until she was making less than subtle advances, whispering sweet nothings in his ear as she started letting her hormones get the best of her.

It quickly became apparent that Ophelia would not be getting any more work done today. Having Balthazar much more present made it the slightest bit awkward at first, but he soon tried to forget that detail, assuming his other half really didn't care about Ophelia the way he did. Of course, Kaistern didn't realize that Balthazar was taking more of a back seat now to everything the couple did together.

Ophelia didn't find Balthazar's possible presence half as awkward as Kaistern did, though considering how clear she made her stance on the matter over the previous several pages, this probably doesn't serve as much of a surprise at all. It also probably didn't come as much of a surprise when she made sure neither of them got any sleep that night, considering how long they'd been sepparated up until that point. Still, that didn't stop her from doing her job as the leader of her guild the next day.

((Oh! And MrTracyn put up another chapter of the Karkat and Sollux reading of My Immortal. Description also says they'll try to get back on schedule with a new episode every wednesday. ^.^ ))
Rather exhausted from all the fun they had, Kaistern opted to sleep in a little the next day. "It feels so strange not having to wake up to some new political matter or other such crisis that demands my attention." he said with a yawn when he finally did come around.

"A nice change of pace, isn't it?" Ophelia, on the other hand, was busier than ever with her efforts to reclaim the throne. She was dealing with the finances of her mercenary guild, 'investing' in certain successful businesses, hatching up schemes to improve her PR with the public, and of course plotting various forms of revenge against those that wronged her in some way or another. (This was especially prominent when dealing with traitors who helped in the uprising or when dealing with spies and insubordinates in her guild. To say that her wrath was brutal was a complete understatement. She also became far bolder than before, up to the point where she didn't seem to bother hiding her vindictive side from Balthastern anymore. Not that he ever faced the brunt of it, of course.)

"Balthazar wants to know if you've got any extra work that needs doing." Kaistern said with a bit of an amused smile as he got up to give her a kiss on the cheek. He supposed having an extra voice in his head was better than raging, homicidal mood swings. Although getting Balthazar out of his head for good still would be nice, and this time manifesting him in a separate body seemed like a good idea rather than another mental duel to the death. Because that worked out so well the first time.

"Yes, though not of the usual sort." Ophelia replied, finishing up what paperwork she had before gazing into Kaistern's eyes. "I've rooted out a small group of spies in our midst. Unfortunately, presenting the evidence to the public eye would quickly incriminate me for various necessary incidents that would easilly land me a brutal public execution." Ophelia still kept an amicable way of speaking despite the unpleasant circumstances she spoke of. "I'm also close to arranging a sort of 'partnership' with a foreign trade prince who's in good graces of the filthy usurper. I've set up a false job for the traitors to have him killed, and 'warned' him that one of his rival merchants is going to have him killed tonight if he doesn't take certain measures to protect himself. That's where you two come in. I want you to play the role of bodyguard, a free courtesy of the Dulcinea, and kill the spies when they make their attack. As they would have been interfering with your work and endangering your life in the process, neither of us can be blamed for their deaths."
