The particularly awkward way Ki said "I am well" hurt you, Tsuji-san?
Edit: Changed "good" to "well". 3nodding

It was, first of all, directed away from the speaker (thou). Second, it was phrased as a question. Then the extraneous verb in the middle...
[verb] [subject] [verb - again] [adjective]
All combined with a lack of care... Just hurts me...
-Tsuji
EDIT: Didn't even notice the "good" which carries sexual connotations...

I meant Ki, Viral-san. Sorry 'bout that. I just got back from class (currently 21:20 CST).
Edit: Hehheh... yeah... It could make sense if you took "Art Thou" as a subject, but we both know that it is not. 3nodding
Edit 2: I didn't even think that "I am good" could be sexual until you mentioned it, Tsuji-san. Now I have a reason to laugh whenever someone in public says "I am good." xd

Sentama Lin Edit 2: I didn't even think that "I am good" could be sexual until you mentioned it, Tsuji-san. Now I have a reason to laugh whenever someone in public says "I am good." xd Yeah, when learning German one of the first things that you learn is when to use "haben" (to have), "sein" (to be), and "gehen" (to go). For example: Es geht mir gut. It goes well for me. Ich bin gut. I am good. (MAJOR SEXUAL CONNOTATION!) -Tsuji

Ah... I understand now, Tsuji-san. Although I haven't taken German, unless you count my course for German Singing Diction, I can appreciate the oddities of using the wrong verbs. There were some things while I was learning French where I had to be careful in my usage. Then again, that can happen with anything.
Of course... My classes have never explained any of the sexual connotations of things one might accidentally say.

Well, I've always had language teachers that have been really chill about everything. If we had a question about the language or there was some issue that we had they were never afraid to give the reason, no matter what it was.
I do love the little linguistic oddities. Did you know that in ASL the difference between the sign for "to meet" and "to proposition" is one finger? If you take both hands and hold them up in a fist with index fingers raised and draw them together, that's essentially saying, "to meet". If you do the same with both the index finger and middle finger raised it's asking someone to have sex with you. 3nodding

I was aware of that, Tsuji-san, but I wasn't aware that doing said hand motion with one finger meant "to meet." As you could probably tell I'm not trained in ASL (although I should learn a bit in case I ever want/need to teach music using ASL).

I love that sign, Lin. I once told someone that it was how you ask where the bathroom is. Then watched in horror/glee as he proceeded to proposition a large deaf man. Ahhh, good times...
