But if you think about it a level deeper (don't want to be too specific in case anyone wants to go and find out themselves) it gets even weirder. I mean, when they were together would she have thought about them the same way? Or would she still have preferred one over the other?

Actually I think in the manga they never were together, from what I understand anyway. I think that was a twist of the anime that isn't even an issue in the manga but I can't remember fully, I think I need to go reread the manga now...

Yeah I know what you were talking about xd which is why I made the point that its not even an issue in the manga, as far as I remember anyway I need to reread the manga but I'm almost certain they were never together
