"Alrighty then." Clorogne stood and paid for their meals, "Lead the way."
Meanwhile, Akila was trying to get out of her room. The door was stuck, so now she was calculating how far the fall was from her window. She tapped her chin and extended her claws, leaning out.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera took Clorogne's arm in hers, leading the way out of the restaurant. She wandered through the town, heading towards the market. She paused occasionally, stopping to watch jugglers, fire-eaters, and many other entertainers. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Clorogne clapped at the entertainers and occasionally flipped coins their way. He was having such a great time.
Akila tucked one foot beneath her and pushed off of the sill, landing on all fours two stories below. She shook out her hair. Great! She did it! Now...what to do to entertain herself for the night.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera leaned against Clorogne, tucked against his side as they wandered the market. "This is much better than anything the restaurant could have given us, isn't it?" She asked, smiling up at him. "So much variety." It suited perfectly to her nature. She was loathe to do the same thing repeatedly. She, like her ability, loved change. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I must agree." Chlorogne laughed, and admitted a little sheepish;y, "I've never spent this much time outside the castle, before."
Akila slipped into the shallow woods, loosing herself once more as the scents of the forest called to her and she went to the river, looking at her reflection blankly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled and hugged him. "Now you see why I was always coming to town?" No need for him to know it was so she could report to Markus. "There's always something new happening, day or night."
"Looking for something?" A voice behind Akila called out. Markus seemed to appear from nowhere, moving his black wings aside so he could be seen. It was a trick of his that he'd learned when he was a child. If he stood in the shadows, with his black wings covering him, he was nearly impossible to find. He'd scared Akila enough times with it. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I guess I should have paid more attention." Chlorogne nodded to himself, "It's something I'll remember."
Akila squeaked the daze leaving her eye, and she nearly fell into the water, teetering for a moment before finding her balance. She blew out a soft sigh, "Oh, you!" she turned to him, bare feet squishing in the mud, "You always appear out of nowhere, I swear!" she chuckled.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Good. I love coming down here. Especially to festivals." Aleera sighed happily. She gazed at all the booths as they walked the market.
Markus flashed her a grin. "Nah. You're just not observant enough, miss I-have-superior-senses." He told her teasingly. He came to sit down, just outside of the mud patch. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Not fair..." Akila's face flushed, "You know how I get while in the forest." she stepped into the water to rinse her feet, before leaping gracefully back onto the dry patch she'd been on before he'd frightened her. She turned to smile at him, "So what are you doing in these parts?"
Chlorogne blinked, "There are festivals?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera frowned slightly. "Well, now that you mention it, I haven't seen many here in the past couple years. But when I was here before there were lots of festivals. And the other countries have lots of festivals too."
Markus chuckled lightly. He did know how Akila was in nature. He flipped his wings in a shrug at her question. "Just walking mostly. Clearing my head." He leaned back on his arms to look at the stars overhead. "I like the night. It's quiet, peaceful even." He said softly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Oh..." Chlorogne sighed, "That will change now that I'm King," he lowered his voice to add the "again." afterward.
Akila nodded, "It is pretty pretty nice out, huh?" she moved over to sit next to him, and pet his wing once.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled brightly up at him. "That would be wonderful. I love festivals." She told him easily.
Markus unfurled his wing without thinking, stretching the black feathers under Akila's touch. He loved having his wings preened. It was what he did when he needed to relax. The combing motion combined with the feelings had always soothed him. "It's very nice out. I love it when the nights are clear, when you can see the stars." He murmured softly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila ran her fingers through and over his feathers, and knelt behind/next to him, "I know what you mean. You can see Ersa Major perfectly from here." She looked up to the sky.
"Then we'll have them all the time!" Chlorogne nodded like he'd just proclaimed it to himself.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "That would be wonderful." Aleera said with a happy sigh, leaning against Clorogne.
Markus shifted, sitting cross-legged rather than stretched out. He bowed his head, letting both wings sag and relax, soothed by Akila's touch. "Mm-hmm." He gave a murmured reply, more focused on the feel of her gentle hands than the stars in the sky. The tiger that should be....isn't....

After a while, Akila just stopped talking, but as she ran her fingers softly through his feathers, she laid her cheek on shoulder.
"You know, I think there will be fireworks, tonight." Chlorogne added hopefully.
