Akila's tense muscles relaxed once more, and the purring vibrated from her chest, "That..." she rolled her shoulders, "Feels very good."
Clorogne kissed her cheek, and led her inside, opening the Inn door for her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled in thanks, entering the inn. She walked up the stairs ahead of Clorogne, her hips swaying as she walked. She entered their room, moving to sit on the bed with a yawn.
Markus chuckled but didn't stop. "I know." He told her smugly. "You've always been a sucker for an ear rub." He said teasingly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Clorogne watched the sway of her hips as if hypnotized (sp?) and followed , flopping down next to her, and tiredly wrapped his arms around her, "Night, My sweet." He kissed her once, and yawned.
Akila's flush darkened, "Not my fault. You've got magic hands." she let her eyes close tiredly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera curled up into Clorogne's arms. "Night love." She murmured, closing her eyes.
Markus chuckled softly. "I could say the same about you." He murmured. Reluctantly, he stopped petting her. "The forest isn't the safest place at night. We shouldn't stay here." He told her softly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Please..." Akila's voice cracked, "Don't make me go back, yet." for once he could catch a glimse of how frightened she really was, how hurt... She didn't open her eyes, though.
Clorogne held her close as he slipped into a shallow sleep.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus hesitated but caved. He couldn't stand hearing her so upset. "Come with me." He murmured, standing up and setting her on her feet. "Come back to the tunnels for the night. We'll get you back before morning light, before anyone realizes you're missing." The tiger that should be....isn't....

"O-okay." Akila stood a little awkwardly, and nodded, "Thanks." She was quieter than usual.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus smiled reassuringly at Akila. Taking her hand, he gently led her through the forest, to a hidden tunnel entrance. Opening it, he gestured for her to enter, before closing the entrance behind them. It was pitch black until he uncovered a stone that glowed, shedding a soft light. He led the way through the tunnels confidently. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila held his hand as she looked around, and repeated, "Too much time in the tunnels." with a little almost giggle.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus shook his head, laughing. "Maybe. But I'm safe here." He told her quietly. He pulled her into a little niche. The niche proved to be a hidden passage, one that opened up into his room. "There. You can stay here for tonight. I'll wake you at first light. You can take the bed." He gestured towards the bed with a smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila bit her lip," Oh, don't let me sleep on your bed. You need to sleep well, too." She smiled at him.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus shook his head. "Nah. Mom raised me with manners. The bed is yours. She...." He swallowed, the mention of his mother bringing up memories. He forced himself past it. "She would be appalled if I made you sleep on the floor. I've slept in worse places." The tiger that should be....isn't....

At the mention of his mom, Akila looked down, before going over to hug him, and nuzzled her face sadly against his chest, ears back. It would have been his shoulder, but she was too short. His mother had been a lovely woman. More like her mother than her own.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus wrapped his arms around her, burying his face in her short hair. He held her tightly as he composed himself. After a long moment, he pulled back. "Thanks." He whispered, then continued in a louder voice. "You should get to bed though. It's getting late." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila nodded when she stepped back, "I don't want you to sleep on the floor...can't we just split the bed? I could sleep on top of the blankets so it won't be awkward." She didn't want it to be an inconvenience to him in his own room.
