Clorogne slipped the ring onto her finger, and kissed her hand, "Now and forever, my love." He smiled, as he stood.
Akila waved as he left, and knelt at the open window crossing her arms on the sill, and rested her head on her arms, ears back.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Now and forever." Aleera repeated. She threw her arms around Clorogne's neck, kissing him firmly.
Markus disappeared from sight, heading back to his base. He kept glancing back over his shoulder though he couldn't see Akila anymore. He felt horrible about having to leave her there. At least she had some friends he knew. Such as Zar, the bird who was currently landing on her window sill, croaking a greeting. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila pet Zar sadly and ruffled his feathers, "Hey buddy, how ya doing?"
Clorogne kissed her back, "And today we tell the village." He hugged her close to him.

Aleera smiled and chuckled, hugging him. "Yes. I wonder how they'll take it." She murmured, a worried note creeping into her voice.
Zar cheeped happily, rubbing his head against her hand. He flapped his wings, chirping and chattering to Akila.

Akila picked up the bird and held him to her chest as she got up to sit on the provided bed.
Clorogne stroked her back, "They should take it just fine." he assured her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I hope so." Aleera murmured, burying her face in Clorogne's chest. She took a deep breath. "When will you tell them?" She asked, looking up at him.
Zar struggled, flapping his wings until he could climb to her shoulder. He began preening Akila's hair, running his beak through the short strands. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila sighed, "I guess you're not quite as huggable as him, hmm?" Akila looked around for a moment before she decided not to chance it and put her index finger to her lips, "Let's not tell him I said that. It'll be our little secret." She patted the top of Zar's head.
"Right before lunch time." Clorogne decided, with a nod, and ran his fingers through her hair, "Is that alright?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled, instantly relaxing into the touch. She couldn't help it. She smiled softly. "That's fine." She said, sounding calmer.
Zar made a sound that gave the impression of laughing. He tugged lightly on a lock of her hair, as if playfully scolding her. Aleera hadn't been kidding when she said her crows were smarter than normal. The tiger that should be....isn't....

'Ow." Akila squeaked, "That's not nice." but she couldn't help but giggle and pet him again.
Clorogne kissed the top of her head before turning her around and walking her to the door, "Now, your stuff is still in your own room, and YOU my dear lady, need to change before we see the public, as do I.''

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera chuckled, leaning up to kiss his cheek briefly. "Alright." She said before crossing the hall to her own room. There she flopped onto the bed. Man, this whole marriage thing was weird. On one hand, she liked the power and control she would have, able to help the rebellion. On the other hand......She had to deal with Clorogne.......With a sigh, she rose and changed. She settled in front of the vanity mirror, brushing out her hair.
Zar chirp an acknowledgment and preened her hair for a moment. He paused in that to chatter as Akila, as if talking to her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila quirked her smile, "you know...I wish i could understand you...did Aleera teach you how to write?" it wasn't a crazy question, right?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar cocked his head to the side then fluttered to Akila's desk. He flapped his wings, hopping agitatedly. He jumped from the paper to the pen and back again, over and over again. He seemed to want Akila to write something. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Okay, okay..." Akila got up and went to her desk, "But I don't have anything to report, little guy. I haven't been able to see anything since I was 'locked up'" she used air quotes.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar lifted his wings in a shrug. Then he returned to jumping from pen to paper. He seemed determined for Akila to write something. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Okay, okay." Akila laughed and wrote down, 'hello' , "There. Happy?" She quirked her head curiously.
