um basically who are they targeted at, what is the message being sent and some other bunch of questions I need to answer, I think I can do this but right now I'm just having a hard time with the opening

well my position is that advertisements are created in a way to make women believe that they must buy the products to look sexy or be attractive, it preys on most women's insecurities by saying that unless they use the products they won't be attractive to the opposite sex, good thing this is only a 3 to 4 page paper so I can do a lot of bullshitting xd

It's not only women... they do the same thing to men; if you look at the ads, the men in ads are generally early- to mid- 20s, hairless of chest, and VERY toned... and it works pretty much the same way as it does for women. But, to start, you can always do an overview of how women have traditionally been viewed in advertising. ^_^
