FangzV Sheer_Immortal FangzV Sheer_Immortal FangzV *breaks down door for the second time* Hay guys, what's goin on in this bar? So, are you guys gonna raise the price of items you sell in the market by 2%? If I decide to use the new MP at all, you'd better believe I'm gonna pass my costs on to the buyers. It's the American way. cool >< Sorry, I'm stupid so I don't know what that means. ... Hey, Mother Teresa doubted her own faith. Hm, I gotta check this out. *reads article* Translation of my previous post: If I decide to use the new marketplace at all, then yes, I will raise my prices by 2% (actually slightly above 2%, as raising the price will raise the fee). Oh. Okies. Oh and, could someone give me the big picture as to why they say 2% tax is good? I can't really understand it. sweatdrop The tax will take gold out of the economy. Since there's not as much gold going around, the prices on things will lower. (Basically, the gold will have more worth because there's not as much of it.) The fee is supposed to be a gold-sink, like the Salon or the Edmund/Von Helson quests. With the Salon, you spend gold on hair, but you can't trade the hair, so there's no way to get your gold back (whereas if you spent your gold on an item, you could trade it to other users and get a refund that way), so it takes gold out of the economy. With the quests, you spend (what is it, like 500g?) some amount of gold to get back an item that is, currently, selling for much less than it cost to get from the quest. Since you put in more gold than you'd get back, that too is a gold-sink. (Though if you hang on to the items for a couple years, eventually the price'll go up, but right now it's a gold-sink.) By making so many ways for people to easily get gold, there was more gold available to spend, so prices on things naturally increased. By taking some of the gold out, we'll still be earning the same amount of gold, but prices will be lower because the gold-sinks "delete" some of the gold that's coming into the system. With less gold available to spend, prices will naturally decrease. Hope that helped ^.^ Sakura - I know 2% isn't a big deal. That's not what has me up in a fuss. The attitude behind the 2% fee, however, is something with which I have a huge issue. :/

I just don't have enough time to care for it. If you could get me a Yoshi one though, I would pay you gold for it.
