Ophelia found herself utterly bored before long, the incessant crunching of numbers in her brain and quietly maneuvering around unspoken setbacks began to wear on her. She felt like she needed a break, but alas, she could not abandon her responsibilities or her revenge. So she simply continued still with her work without so much as the slightest complaint. (Then again, who could she complain to? It would cause uneeded stress or show signs of weakness that didn't need to be shown.)

'Girls like chocolates, right? I mean, this is a universal thing, right? Even gun-happy girls like her should like 'em, right?'
"Goodness, you really are bad at this sort of thing." Kaistern said with a small chuckle, hiding the small bag of assorted treats behind his back as he entered the room. "How goes the scheming?"

"Fairly well. Still not beyond the planning stage, but then again, Rome wasn't built in a day." Ophelia looked up from her paperwork and grinned at Kaistern. Sometimes she forgot who she was speaking to and let the old proverbs and sayings of her ancestors out in daily conversation. Which, to those who didn't understand what they meant, could make things terribly confusing for the non-human speaker.

'....What's a 'Rome'...?'
'I'll tell you later.' "Somehow I figured as much." Kaistern said walking around next to her, leaning over to kiss her on the cheek while reaching around her to place the bag on her desk in front of her. "I thought you could use the pick-me-up." he said with a sweet smile. It was a pretty little bag tied off with ribbon, and a tug hung off, mostly for show, with both Kaistern and Balthazar's names on it.

Ophelia somehow took on that excitable puppy look again, quite pleased to know that Balthastern was thinking of her enough to bring her a gift. She moved herself so that she could give the sweetheart a kiss in return. "Thank you."

"You were borderline bombarded with it back at the castle, while all I did was sit around and look pretty inbetween intervals of being kidnapped." Ophelia half-joked as she sat on the very edge of her desk. "Don't think of it as being 'useless' so much as 'on vacation'."

"I've always been a lustful woman, Kaistern. I was just ashamed of it back then, and embarassed by past...flaws that'd I've overcome." Ophelia admitted, her eyes holding the faintest tinge of insecurity for a fleeting moment. "I like to think I hid that side of myself rather well until we married."

"I'd say so too, if you left me oblivious for the longest time." Kaistern said as he slipped his hands around her slender waist. "I know you just had a plot breakthrough, but I think you could use a break. Why don't we get out of here for a while? Some fresh air might help clear your head a little."

"Not really." Kaistern admitted with a sheepish smile. "But I figure we'll make things up as we go. You've been cooped up here for a while now and could stand to get out for a bit."

"Sounds good to me. Lead the way." Ophelia, admittably, liked the idea of getting out for a bit more and more. With Kaister/Balthazar at her side, it wasn't like anyone would be foolish enough to attack her or anything. (Not unless they were incredibly stupid, but she was feeling a rare gem of optimism for the moment being. Still, she'd sneak a few weapons and handgrenades along just in case.)
