Shina set her book aside as the train slowed. When she saw the station coming into view outside she tucked it into her trunk and locked the large chest. The click of the doors coming open told Shina it was time to exit the train. She left her trunk and cat behind, as instructed, and made her way off the train. Her wand holster was strapped around her right forearm, wand secure inside it. Her robes were neat, her hair pinned securely up. She looked around. Where was she meant to go next?

Tyler stepped off of the Hogwarts express and smiled, time to start the last and hopefully best year in Hogwarts. "First Years, wait here for Professor Mckenny!" he called out. He glanced at Ryn and smiled. Our last time travelling through this station. he thought as he looked over the crowd. "Well, Ryn, ready to start our last year?" he asked.

Chase Henrick ~ House ::: First Year ~ Sitting at the window, Chase only stared at the ongoing stream of students leaving the train. Would Hogwarts bring new adventures? A new life, maybe? No: He would not get his hopes up and eventually crushed by the disappointment he was confident he would soon meet.
"I'll get off once there are less people trying to battle their way out," he mumbled to himself.
Truth was, Chase didn't want to get off of the train. He had to give up the things he was familiar with to settle in an ancient castle filled with eccentric creatures and insane humans. Only now did he realize what he got himself into. Maybe it wasn't too late to withdraw from the school? The problem was that he didn't have the means to travel back to his home. Fly? That's suicidal. Walk? Impossible. Chase simply sighed and got off the train. "The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does not answer another heart. His mind shrinks away if he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no other inspiration." - Pearl S. Buck

Austin stepped off of the train and smiled. He smiled and waved at Tyler, his first friend in the Wizarding World. "Hey Tyler!" he called as he headed towards the station. Here we go, a new year. NEWT classes, and all that. he thought as he got on a carriage.

Elliot slipped off of the train, his nose buried in one of the first year textbooks. He barely avoided some of the people who were climbing off of the vehicle at the same time. When one of the older students shouted out for first years to wait around the boy pulled the brim of his hat down and hurried to an out of the way stretch of the station to wait for whatever was going on. He didn't relish the idea of being around this many people at once, there was too much noise.

Eretria stepped down from the train, her eyes looking up and down the station as she looked around. She noticed that other people were getting off the train. Moving to the side, she suddenly heard the call for the first years. Her head held high, she approached the area where they were gathering, mentally taking notes as to what the other first years looked like as she walked up.

Andy had checked to make sure everything was immaculate before getting onto the train. With a final kiss goodbye to her family and a curt nod to Graham, whom she had developed a close bond, she dragged the large trunk onto the Express. Breath held, her eyes swooped around searching for any familiar faces. Quickly sending a last kiss to her family, she turned heading into the compartments.
I can't believe this is finally happening. In truth, it took a lot to get her giddy, but the prospect of starting her first year sent the normally level-headed brunette into a tizzy. This was everything she had dreamed of. Some Muggle girls play fairies or fairytales, Andy reenacted her parents sordid stories from Hogwarts like the one time Ophelia and her two best friends had snuck out to ride around the Quidditch pitch at the dead of night.
Most of the journey had been flashed by as she read up on some of the new textbook materials. It had put her to sleep, but there was a drive in her that made her want to be first and the best. Either you were first or you were nothing and she was never nothing. This misfortunate trait had earned her the respect but also the fear of some of the nearby neighborly children. If they were reenacting the story of the three brothers, the only character that she wanted to play was Ignotus Peverell; he was the one that survived in the end, after all. Her brother had tried to explain to her that she couldn't kick the boy in the shins when he said that "you can't play Ignotus 'cause you're a girl and girls have cooties," because it was not nice. Too bad that her brother hadn't managed to calm her down enough and she had landed a nice kick right where it hurt. After that, none of the children wanted to play with her anymore.
Making friends had never been her area of specialty, that was Payton's regime. She was known for being confident, intelligent, and being much to ambitious for a mere eleven year old. Even so, it made it hard for to relate to some of the other children her age. They were so carefree and happy, flitting around like butterflies to flowers. Compared to them, she was already an old school marm who actually cared about the future. With her silver tongue and mind, Andy making biting remarks that caused friends to frown upon her. Her friends, she liked to think, all had something special about them, something that made them worthwhile to her. If they weren't good value, why would she be friends with them anyways? Pulling her trunk out, she gripped the Rowan wand in one hand so tightly that she was afraid it might break. With admiring eyes, Andy listened to the Head Boy. One day, it was her dream to be one of the two honored students given the position of Head Boy and Head Girl. Knowing her, she'd probably get it. When Andy wants something, she gets something. Added on to the fact that her Graham had taught her the art of subtle flattery would help her in the long run. He was her only confidante in the house because they shared such similar personalities. Both burdened, the two wore twin masks of emotionless disdain that observed every little detail. To her, he was the solemn older brother that told her the ropes to the massive world ahead of her.
"I hope Professor McKenny isn't too long," she mused. There was nothing that dampened the mood more than a late person, "It would be a real pity to wait." Taking in the rest of the first years, she slowly measured her competition for the years to come. As Mother said, "keep your friends close but your enemies closer." The boy with the book buried in his face might be academic competition. Blonde girl, yes, she was also taking mental notes of the other students. Brushing an imaginary piece of lint off her black robes, Andy folded her arms in a nonchalant pose.

Remy Verity Bleiddiaid First Year: Unsorted Remy stepped off of the train with Heather at her side. Her face instantly lit up in awe of everything around her. "Whoa! Look at all of the students, Heather! I can't wait until we get sorted and start the school term!" she exclaims, overexcited as always.

~Heather Stevia Hawthorn~ First Year: Unsorted Heather steps off of the train with Remy. She was carrying all of her books, reading the opened one on top of the pile. She was nodding at Remy, not really listening, but still hearing what she was saying to her. "Yeah. Me either. I hope we make the most of our first year at Hogwarts." she says, still reading. She closed her book and pulled Remy over to where the first years were standing, and waited until it was time to journey to the school.

╔══════════════════╗ Jennifer Kaplan was having quite the day. She had woken up a two o' clock in the morning, and it had been worth it, since it had taken several hours to finally find the Hogwarts Express. But being the kind of person who doesn't get tired very easy, Jennie was okay. Of course, her mouse, Cedward, was the polar opposite and was out cold on top of the trunk Jennie was pushing out the train. "Wake up you lazy mouse! Don't you want to see your home for the next few months?" Jennifer murmured, tapping on Cedward's tail. The mouse, woke up after some more tapping, and eventually climbed on to Jennie's head.
Jennifer hopped out the train, unprepared for the large amount of students in the station. Over the talking and bustling of the station, she heard a call for first years. Yup, 99.9% sure that's me. Jennie thought, wandering over to where other kids her age seemed to be gathering. Jennie was not a very patient girl, and she tapped her foot, wondering when they'd get to move on. Cedward was plucking at her hair, but Jennie just rolled her eyes. She didn't want to be scolding a mouse some might not be seeing, great first impression. Being a very talkative person, Jennie didn't want to have all the first just sit there and not talk. Talk about awkward. So why not start it up?
"So, anybody know what house they think they'll get in?" Jennie finally questioned. She really didn't know much about the houses, she read about three sentences of a textbook before getting bored and closing the book. With some luck, somebody here might actually read and know something. ╚══════════════════╝

As the various students milled around, Shina walked toward the one who had shouted for first years. She kept her shoulders back, head up, and expression pleasantly neutral. Her sharp eyes took in the other students. Hmm, a blond and a brunette seemed to be analyzing the group much like she was. A redhead and a dark-haired girl seemed excited, and there were a few students floating around with their noses tucked in books. A dark haired boy hung off to one side. More students were still on the train, and the teacher who would guide them wasn't here yet. Shina remained silent and watched her schoolmates.

Chase Henrick ~ Unsorted ::: First Year ~ Chaos. So much chaos. At least, it was to Chase, who has an aversion to crowded places. He resented the fact that he had to wait for someone to guide him into the castle. Dear God, he thought.
As he walked towards the Head Boy who called for the First Years, Chase couldn't help but feel like people were watching - not the typical "I see you, but I will ignore you," type of watch, but those, "I will stalk you, then kill you," glare. Or maybe it was simply the fact that he had been in a crowded place for more than a minute without any means of escape. Chase felt like he was a fish out of water... No, he felt like a decapitated fish thrown into the intergalactic space going at 349857 miles per hour towards the Sun while having the Nyan Cat song stuck in his head. Gosh he hated that cat.
To preserve the little sanity he had left, he started to list all of the things that came to mind: T=ikm, PV=nRT, MV=MV, E=mc^2, G=H-TS, E=(0.0257V/n)lnK, G=-RTlnK, etc... Science had little meaning in the wizarding world, but what else could he do? List all the novels he read? Little did he know, he had been talking to himself the whole time. Dear God, I'm the crazy one, he panicked.
Unbelievable: He never panicked. Not even if he went into a haunted house alone at midnight with a killer who wants Chase's head on a silver plate. But one thing was for sure: Even if Chase's mind might have turned into a heap of jello, he wanted to be alone more than ever. He wanted to lock himself in his tiny bubble with thousands of books from the library, ignorant and blissful. He just wanted some quiet. "The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does not answer another heart. His mind shrinks away if he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no other inspiration." - Pearl S. Buck

Melissa-Marie Jonstone
Call me M.J.Melissa was glued to the window of her compartment before the train had even started to slow in its approach to Hogsmeade. Spying the giant castle upon the hill in the distance, a thrill of excitement, as well as fear flooded her veins, making her shake slightly. She was used to adventure of a sort, after all, there were few things as exhilarating as watching dragon handlers with their dragons, or finding a new species of magical creature in the deep jungles of the rainforests, but this was definitely competition for all of that. Not to mention the fact that her mother had always been there for her when she needed it. She was on her own now.
As soon as the train stopped, M.J. sat back and watched as students poured from the train, crowding the little hallway. Standing, she said goodbye to her precious owl before slowly moving to join the crowd. Using her comparatively small stature to her advantage, she slipped right under the arms of some of the older students and slid through the door and onto the platform. Slowly edging toward where the other first years seemed to be, Melissa watched everything with interest, fidgeting with her wand. This had to be the most amazing thing ever, period. She had never been around so many people before, even at her father’s parties!
Standing on her toes to see over some of the other first years, she watched the older students greeting each other and heading for their own transportation. What she wouldn’t give to go with them, actually get near the thestrals that pulled the carriages that her mother had told her about. She may not be able to see them, but that didn’t mean she could try to touch them, see if they really were there.Unsorted : First Year

Seren Meinir~Ravenclaw~Third Year~Relationship Status: Taken by Yia~Once the train had stopped, Seren looks at Yia and smiles at him before standing up. "I guess were starting another chapter here at Hogwarts." She says in her soft voice. Then she grabs ahold of Yia hand and they begin to head out of the train. She couldn't help but smile seeing some familer faces but she wondered where one of her best friends was at. Cat. She hadn't seen her on the train at all, so she was a bit worried that something might have happened to her during summer. Trying to shake that thought out of her mind, Seren looks back at Yia and smiles at him softly once again.Wearing
