"I'm sorry, but that's just how this stuff works. It hurts because it's working and killing all those nasty germs. If we don't clean it, it's going to get infected and just hurt even more." Adrian told her gently.

Calista just kept crying, though Hazama disappeared after a few moments. She didn't want it to hurt, but she didn't want it to get infected either. It was a complicated issue for the seven year old, but she would hopefully be done with it sooner if she were just done now.

"That's it, I promise to make it as quick as possible." Adrian told her as he knelt beside her and finished cleaning the wound, even singing 'Return to Pooh Corner' to try to keep her mind off the pain. "There, see? That wasn't so bad now was it?" he said once she was all bandaged up.

"Give it some time; soon it'll feel like you were never hurt to begin with." Adrian said ruffling her hair as he stood up. "And maybe she will, but she's not gonna hold a grudge or anything like that. It was an accident, I'm sure she'll understand." he told her as he went to clean up the mess.

Adrian sighed as he moved on to cleaning up the spilled liquids. "Well it was still an accident. I don't think she's going to punish you horribly for something you didn't mean to do. You just need to be more careful in the future is all." he told her. "You don't have to tell her alone either, I'll be there to back you up."

"What are we not telling me alone?" Amaya asked as she wandered out of the bedroom and walked out into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes, still in her monster form as she yawned.

Adrian had finished the clean up and now stood behind Calista, looking down at her as he nudged her towards Amaya.

Calista shrunk, slowly inching her way towards Amaya. "I wasn't paying attention and dropped a bowl and it broke and I tried to clean it up but I cut my hand..." She said in a small voice, not wanting to look her mother in the eye.
Amaya sighed, resting her hand on Calista's head as she finally took her human form. "Please try to be more careful. Are you okay at least?" She asked, seeing the girl's tearful nod. "Alright. Go watch tv, I'll make cinnamon rolls. Okay?" She told her, kissing the top of her head before she walked into the kitchen, taking the stuff out to make cinnamon rolls.
Calista looked from Amaya to Adrian before she slowly shuffled off into the living room to watch tv.

Once the drama was over, Adrian slipped back into the bathroom to take a quick shower while Amaya was cooking. Once he was out and dressed, he came out to sit down next to Calista. "See, that wasn't so bad now was it?"
