Kals entered her lab with the usual swipe of the keycard, thumbprint, voiceprint, retinal scan, and passcode. As she entered and the titanium-reinforced door slammed shut behind her, she held her hand out to her left and a little blade shot out and pricked her finger, drawing blood for a DNA authentication test.

She punched in the security protocols on her console and activated the program that would pull up an infrared image of every floor in the complex on one set of screens and an ultraviolet image on another. She figured that would show her where the intruder was, even if said intruder was using some kind of "invisibility" technology.

While the program was loading its connections to the millions of uv and ir sensors in the building, Kals rummaged through her lab, organising her thoughts. Judging from the confusion emitted by the still-active intercom, the intruder or intruders had some kind of teleportation abilities. She had technology that would block that, but she needed to be able to target it specifically, so as not to hinder her colleagues.

Pickles looked around, her eyes widening slightly at the wonderful stock of weapons. She chose a package labeled "dangerous" and began looking through it.

Jimmy picked up the receiver of his expensive combination phone/fax/coffee maker. It was that time again. He slid a tentacle over a couple of the buttons while he tried to situate the receiver to stick between his head and shoulder.

The phone started making that ringing noise into his ear. He clinked the ice in the bottom of his whisky glass before pushing the button to make the ringing stop and skip straight to the answering machine. He always did this, it was one of those rules; it annoyed the hell out of the people he knew, but it was unavoidable.

the beep stopped and he started talking into the phone rapidly: "Hey, Unda! How are things going over there? I see you're not in you office, I just wanted to ask why I hadn't heard for you in so long!? We still need to meet for a few balls! You said we'd play a round some day! Anyway, I need to know what's wrong with that shipment that was supposed to be dropped over here. I need the bodies while they're still pretty fresh, I thought you'd have them processed by now, but I guess something's wrong. Give me a call if you need anything, you know the number." With that he hung up.

He wasn't completely sure why he insisted on pestering people through their answering machines like this, it seemed to be wired into his person. After he sat for another second more, he finished off his booze, and then got up to find something that would take him away from his desk long enough to miss Unda's inevitable callback.

"I have a pistol with an almost full clip. I need to either get to my chopper or get to a weapons room." Saverio was not prepared to fight 150 floors on one clip. He wasn't solid snake.

Saverio walked into the elevator. "How bad could it be. All I need is one folding chair and I am set!" He was a master of the chair that folds and could kick anyones a** with it

Slim strolled between the shelves herself, hand held up to her face in a look of preponderance. "Right...I'll need something nice and explosive...."

She stopped in front of a box labeled "experimental", and raised both her eyebrows. "Experimental" was her kind of box....

Reaching in with both arms and sifting through the packing peanuts, she felt something cold and metal.

"'Ello, what's this?" she said cheerily, hefting out two pistols with hinged, iron rings attached to them.

Saverio hair stood on edge as he realized the elevator was no longer working. "Seem as we have been discovered. We are gonna have a lot of fun I bet!" Saverio drew his pistol and was waiting for a target. His breathing was calm and cool. He was ready for an ambush in any direction. "We need to damage the surveillance system ASAP. He took the second pistol and was read to use his "gun fu"
