Cyndreth veered to the side, shying away from the scorching flame of his foolish, stupid, idiotic wingmate. A quick flash between to escape the pain, but the damage was done. As the pair emerged, they took a look at the injury. It was hardly grave--not even worth returning for, not yet--but it still stung. Cyndreth hissed, but then, Loteth's cry reminded him of his duty, and that, like everything, he would get through. Watch it! he roared at the first wingmate, before giving Loteth a begrudging yet appreciative nod. Not a bad brown, he supposed.

Keziath, in her grief and dismay, did not see the cloud of ash coming their way. Sabina could only guide them out of it while the hot ash stung at their eyes, skin, and hide. Coughing, she raised a hand to cover her face. Thankfully there had been no living thread in that cloud.

Another blown cluster of half-burned Thread suddenly came back at them. Once more, they jumped to a clear area and then back into formation once the cluster had been taken care of. Ambrin had already lost count of how many times they'd gone between this Fall.

Recovering from that uncomfortable experience, the pair spotted a tangle of thread just below. With a bugle of defiance, Keziath dove down to flame it to ashes.

Loteth saw Cyndreth get flamed, just like he did... twice "YOU GOT THIS CYNDRETH"he called, warm thoughts of encouragement went with it. If he, a brown could carry on after being flamed, then a bronze DEFINITELY got this down, Loteth was glad he had SOME sensible wingmates.

Had she been a trifle larger, Keziath undoubtedly would not have been blown about by this sudden shift in the wind, but she was only a green. Squealing in pain as she was blown directly into a tangle of thread, the dragon blinked between at her rider's behest, panting to catch her breath when she reappeared.

It had been a very rough day so far, but Beylith seemed to be holding up well, even outdoing himself with those excellent assists and jumps. Ambrin patted his neck heartily after a particularly smooth flame took out yet another stray clump of Thread.

It seemed one of her wingmates was in trouble, and Keziath knew just what to do. Without prompting from Sabina, she twisted mid-air and shot three successive lines of flame to send an equal three tangles of thread into harmless clouds of ash.

The short rest and relatively quiet time with others in the weyrbowl had seemed to refresh Aramath. Now that he'd had a scare and had come through it safely, he was less skittish this time as he and Silviu were cleared and returned to the formation above. They flew into a strong gust and got shoved backward several feet before Aramath was able to adjust for it. His rider could feel the pain of a strained muscle in one of his wings, but the blue seemed unconcerned. It had nothing to do with fire, after all.

Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls. Their flaming aim will go down, and they might be slower to dodge out of Thread's way. [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 3 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. Should you roll a prompt with the possibility of damage, take the max damage allotted for your size/color automatically but it will also end the Tongue Bitten Effect immediately.]
In between bursts of thread, Cyndreth paused to take some firestone, but in his haste, he bit his tongue. Shards, but they were unlucky, right now. We need to get our head in the game. Start avoiding wingmates and be more careful. Cyndreth hissed but agreed, though at Loteth's comment, he pushed the pain to the back of his mind, refocusing. No...he would do this. Loteth was right--the brown knew quality when he saw it, it seemed. He was the greatest.
