[kaiator - he/him - HR]
A Bronze. There was a Bronze out and about. Kaiator could feel the breath catch in his throat at the mere sight of him, but something else made him stop before he could begin much praising--it was a quiet sound, but he knew where it was coming from without having to search for the source. Tunnelsnake, looking...not very well at all, all of a sudden. He didn't need to ask what happened, nor would he dare. That was her own business, and she'd already proven herself to be quite private with--well, just about everything. Wordlessly, he reached up and placed a hand on her shoulder, making sure to keep the contact light in case she wasn't feeling up to anything of the sort right now. He wasn't sure what was going on, but--hell, he knew disappointment when he saw it.

Haveli
She turned, wide-eyed, at the hand that was suddenly on her shoulder. The expression Haveli wore was a mixture of confusion and irritation (honestly, did her face know any other?) but it washed into the blank slate needed for the hatching. "What, Little Boy? Here to point out your future bronze? I did say I could smell it on you." She smirked but...made no effort to remove his hand. It was a nice grounding that kept her focus on the area around her, which worked out well as the brown launched itself at the bronze.
"Hah, this happened at their parent's hatching too. I guess history eagerly repeats." Or genetics carried much more personality than people assumed. Still, it was nice to see a green on the sands - hadn't that been the nice, pitying her egg? - and the blue was still there. Plus a few more rocking. Soon the sands would be a flurry of activity, both good and bad. How soon would the two with her also run away, only to show back up with a new person or a dragon in tow? "Just keep an eye, both of you, and keep your thoughts clear. No worries towards them, just....focus on the others. Love and acceptance, keep it clear."
She was talking to herself, probably.

[kaiator - he/him - HR]
"Oh, of course." he replied dryly, shooting her a sidelong glance. He wasn't--terribly sure about this Bronze, honestly. He was so haughty, although...really, he had every right to be, considering his hide and where he was. Either way, though, Kaiator didn't think this one was for him. He barely caught a glimpse of the little Green that poked her head out of her egg, seemingly unaffected by her siblings' rising tensions; he knew he hadn't managed to touch her egg, but perhaps Mel or Haveli had. He'd been about to provide another bit of scintillating commentary when the Brown came charging in, smashing straight into the Bronze himself.
"Looks like we're getting a show whether we like it or not."

R'bin of brown Huarangith (Western) - he/him Eridan (Western) - he/him Reya of green Raqisath (High Reaches) - she/her T'of of blue Makhmilith (High Reaches) - he/him
"Mum!" Eri squealed, bouncing in his seat. R'bin's head dropped to his chest momentarily in defeat. So much for not causing a scene. Maybe everyone would be too distracted by dragons to notice. Up until Reya had shown up, Eri had definitely been fascinated by the dragons emerging from their eggs.
"Hi, Eri," Reya said in a low voice. "Let's watch the dragons, shall we? Without making a lot of noise. You don't want to upset the hatchlings."
T'of snorted softly behind her. No. They definitely didn't want to do that. From what he could tell, the young dragons were already in less-than-cheery moods. At least two of them were.
Eri tried to shake off the blanket his uncle had wrapped him in, but R'bin had done a good job of it and he could only free one hand to reach up and cling firmly to the fabric of his mother's tunic. He tugged, doing his best to be good and quiet, like she'd said, but he wanted her to sit down and put her arm around him and tell him she loved him so much.
R'bin looked past his sister to T'of and then looked askance at Reya, his eyebrows raised to ask, What's he doing here?
Reya didn't fail to see her brother's look. She just didn't deign to respond. She was smiling at Eri and allowing him to pull her down beside him, and then putting her arm around him, just like he'd wanted her to do. He didn't fit against her side the same way he used to. But then, she hadn't held him in a turn. Of course he had grown.
T'of also noticed the look R'bin had given him and he stared back, leaning in with widened eyes and raised eyebrows. Yes, and? he seemed to say.
R'bin scowled and shook his head before turning his attention to the sands. After another moment and a quick glance at Reya and her son to be sure all was well there, T'of did the same. For her part, Reya's eyes were already on the sands, taking in the dragonets' fury and excitement with interest. It was the first hatching she'd attended since Raqisath hatched, and this time there was no chance she was going to Impress a dragon, so she could just enjoy being a spectator.
Eri didn't know what was better: the fact he was going to be one of the only children in the creche who had gotten to attend this hatching, or the fact that he was seeing his mother for the first time in over a turn. Both was good. And look at those dragons! They were so big, even as babies!

Ryala
As a blue, and then a bronze, made themselves known, Ryala watched. The bronze and brown seemed to not be getting along, if the way they were glaring at each other was any indication. Oh shells... she'd seen similar at other hatchlings. She smelled a fight brewing...
She shifted her feet again, this time in preparation for moving quickly if needed. If the argument spilled over in this direction, she wanted to be ready to keep out of the way.
----------
Gwyn
A second egg spilled it's contents onto the Sands, and then a third pretty much exploded, which sent shards and goo flying. Fortunately, she was far enough off to the side to not be affected by either.
The sight of the tangled blue was overshadowed by the incredible bronze that stood amidst the wreckage of his dark egg.
And he was no more happy with his brown brother than that one was with him. Hmm, best to keep an eye on that, in case it developed into a situation.
----------
Avali
Oh, a charming little blue had hatched from that little egg! The poor thing couldn't seem to get himself upright, though. Should she try to help? But... no, they'd been cautioned about interfering with the hatchlings in any way. He would have to...
That thought was violently interrupted when the Coal egg suddenly burst nearby... rather explosively. In an instant, the girl was drenched in icky, sticky egg goo, with fragments of eggshell sticking to her.
Well, THAT fully woke her up! Gasping in shock, she froze, aware for the moment only of a couple of fragments that slowly dripped from her hair and arms.

Lelte / HR She/HerOne egg then another hatched. A strong lovely brown was first. How exciting. He was a wonderful auspicious beginning. The blue that followed was also a striking thing... though oh the poor thing getting so tangled up in his own limbs. The Bronze... so many lovely strong males. How proud the parents must be... Though the tension in the air was strong, and she did not want to see this hatching turn to bloodshed, not so soon. Not at all... The green looked such a sweet thing, at least compared to her rambunctious brothers, who she admired in their own rights. Almost without thought she took a step in her direction, and hopefully away from the action that could break out at any moment. Tandry / HR He/HimThree eggs hatch. Three proud fierce males who were each impressive in their own right. He took a moment to admire each, as was thier due, and send calm welcoming thoughts. But as the atmosphere grew tense, he looked around for those younger and smaller than he to stand near and protect them if fighting broke out, which seemed quite likely at this point. There was Lelte, standing a short ways away looking as though she might want to step in if things became rough, and that was something he could not allow. He stepped carefully through the throng, making his way to her side.

Nashwa - she/her
The brown hadn't been out long when a blue spilled onto the Sands, quite offended that his brother had beaten him out, and seemingly having a bit of trouble finding his feet. Poor fellow...hopefully the rest of his night would go better! Another egg revealed its contents, this one a bronze, and a rather fetching one at that (not that she had yet seen a dragonet she wouldn't think fetching). And he and the brown obviously had an issue, as the firstborn soon charged for the third.
Oh, dear. Well, it happened, and she wouldn't worry overmuch unless it looked like it would turn truly ugly, or involve Candidates. In the meantime, a little green broke her shell, and she looked nothing less than delightful.

Zelaya—She/Her/They/Them The explosion of the Lump of Coal egg prompted Zelaya to lift her arms, to fend off the eruption of shell shards and goop that flecked onto her robe and sandals. Oh... that egg. She had been quite out of line touching that one, she saw now. The rules said to touch them all, but she couldn't blame the glittering bronze for spurning her so unhappily. Bronzes, after all, were for boys! At least now she knew, and she felt properly apologetic... and then vaguely worried, when the previously-shelled brown collided with his brother. Her heart leapt up in her throat, but she swallowed it down. Remembered her training. This did happen, sometimes. If it went too far, Zenobiath would urge them apart, she was sure. So for now, she simply watched... and made ready to duck aside if need be.
Finnisa—She/Her And they were off, dragons of nearly every color spilling onto the sands and shaking free of their shells. The strutting brown seemed fine enough, but the ire he and the bronze shared was... intimidating. Unbidden, Finnisa took a small step back as they collided, glancing rapidly to their mother just to see what she would do. Some part of her was just glad they were fighting each other, and not the candidates... but, no, she had to stay positive. Happy thoughts, loving thoughts, welcoming thoughts... she wasn't going to mess this up, no, not again!

Holly Egg thrashed a bit trying to get to his feet--knocking himself into a few of his neighboring eggs. Finally, he managed to get to his claws, and gave another happy little trumpet of success!
First to Impress wounded like a good idea--especially why his brothers were busy.
Walking took a bit more effort, and the blue found himself tripping towards some of the Candidates. His wings thrashed, and any who didn't get out of way might find themselves smacked and clawed--or tripped over and stomped upon. Unfortunately, the more he started to figure out how to move, the faster he wanted to go--until he was tearing through the Candidates with nothing short of childlike glee.
Sorry! So sorry! Whoops! Thanks for the lift! This walkin' thing sure is fun, isn't it? He spoke to all the Candidates he passed, even as he knocked just as many down with him.
This was WAY better than being in egg!
[If anyone wants some light bruising or tripping, feel free to not quite get out of Holly's way. He's not hurting anyone forcefully. He's just a clumsy bb.]
- - -
As soon as Starry Night pounced, the Snowman egg actually crumbled in fright. Two blue wings immediately covered his head and face from the world, and as the shell around him broke into pieces, there was a little, quivering, and clearly petrified blue. Oh no, oh no, oh no!! Don't do it! The little blue keened out to Starry Night. Oh, this was bad, this was really bad, and this poor little blue was a mess of nerves.
- - - -
Lump of Coal Bronze was only too happy to take his brothers charge. He was no coward. He was not afraid of this one! With a snarl, he used all his strength to stand his ground, lashing at his brother with his wings, ready to throw down.
INSOLENT BRUTE! Someone had to remind the rabble of their place, and Lump of Coal would be the first to do so. It was his Faranth-given right.
