Dehka - He/Him
Dehka barely had a moment to react before the brown barreled forth, lashing out with teeth and claws alike at Candidates that were clearly too close for his liking. He nearly slipped on the sands as he stumbled to get out of the way. A foot caught him across the chest, the surprise and flare of pain knocking the wind right out of him. Still gasping with the rush of adrenaline, Dehka quickly figured out that the wounds were shallow--bleeding freely, but shallow. Swallowing, he stumbled backwards, putting a good bit of distance between himself and the angry brown. Sorry! He thought, trying not to antagonize him farther.
Before he could do much more, a bronze charged forth to try and intercept his angry brother, and the brown turned on him with a ferocity that made his heart pound in his chest. Oh no... Oh no. "Are you two okay?" He managed to ask, shooting a quick look at his companions. "L-Let's keep backing up..." Because the two didn't look like they were going to stop anytime soon.

Draza - She/Her
"Well, things are getting exciting, aren't they?" Draza wasn't going to pretend it wasn't a little exciting to watch the babies tussle, even if it was also a bit morbid. Hey. Sometimes personalities clashed!
She was just grateful she had the best sister there was - and besides, there were other darling not fighting baby dragons to see too!
-----
Cetra - She/Her
Cetra couldn't help but feel a certain amount of frustration on Moo Cow's behalf when he was bodied by his bronze brother - or perhaps, it was actually the brown's anger itself. She tried to fight that feeling off for the happier, better feelings that were asked of during hatchings, but....
----
Lihyo - She/Her
The sunshine egg hatched - and there were two babies inside of it. Her throat tightened a bit. Which had been the baby she'd been speaking with when she'd touched that egg? She was so focused on the twins she all but ignored the fight between siblings going on.
-----
Midrymear - He/Him
A fight was breaking out - but unlike a lot of people, he wasn't moving to protect his sister. She didn't need his protection, nor did he think Miomellai was so foolish as to get herself into harm's way. But he couldn't help but eye the fight with a bit of covetousness - both were fine dragons and he couldn't help but imagine himself with either.
----- Juhvek - He/Him
Even for a bronze, Juhvek wouldn't reevaluate the way he'd more or less written his chances from the Lisa Frank egg off, and in fact knowing it had no interest in him he kept his attention elsewhere - like on the angry brown that had him carefully moving to keep himself between those snapping jaws and claws and the two girls who stood with him.
Even if a bronze was handling the situation.
"Looks like we have a rowdy lot..." but...hadn't Anakumath's clutch been this way too? He could picture two of her bronze brothers duking it out so similarly now.

Lojze -- HR, he/him
Lojze limped slightly as he moved back into position. "I'm fine," he grimaced to Nala. "It's fine. He didn't get me too badly." Leaning over, he touched the impromptu bandage job he'd done on the wound the brown had given him, coming away with the tip of his fingers just touched with blood. "Gotta keep on standing, right? Young dragons are gonna fight -- that's what F'dral said, it could get rough. Well," he grinned, "it got rough. But really, I'll be fine."

They do not deserve to be hurt! Star reiterated, resolutely weathering every last blow, even the ones that tore and rended his hide, no matter how deep his brown brother's claws and teeth dug. Still refusing to use his own to such purpose, though a claw might incidentally catch here and there, he instead wrestled with Moo Cow, trying to maneuver this quarrel away from the Candidates, who did not deserve to be collateral damage any more than they deserved to be bitten simply for existing and standing upon the Sands as they ought.
Think of who you might hurt, brother, please! Not only them, but our siblings! What if you do harm that cannot be undone to one of Theirs? Or Yours?
Ah, it could? Thank you very much, esteemed brother.
Carefully, fussing at work it had already quietly begun the preliminary steps of, subtle so as not to draw attention, Red and White Toadstool finally began to delicately crack its shell.

Dystzha - Western - She/Her
Oh, how she both loved and hated to be right -- and she’s able to push herself in front of Surel as the Moo Cow Brown turned towards the candidates. Her legs suffered his wrath, staggering back under the digging pain of his sharp claws digging in, the pain of his sharp teeth and heavy bite.
It’s all Dystzha could do to not bite her own tongue, swallowing down the pained yelps for grimaces and whines as she backed up to give the brown baby more room -- and corral her friend with her.
Her legs felt like an utter mess, and she can’t quite bring herself to even look at the damage. Judging by the stinging pain rapidly rolling into an almost burning heat with the sands, they weren’t exactly looking good.
Dys glanced back at Surel. “You -- ngh - you okay?”
Iskernyk - Standidate - He/Him
Utterly brimming with excited energy, Iskernyk had been on pins and needles at getting to possibly witness his brother impress. Though his mind called to question the conversation he’d been having between himself, K’ent, and T’sar. But he was here to enjoy the evening in good company, ones he saw so few and far in between, and he could certainly take the opportunity as he saw fit.
“Only one dance? It’ll have to be the best, then.” Isk chuckled, leaning a bit into the pure warmth the Westerner exuded. The first green was joined by her siblings; two bronzes, a brown, two--three blues, and another green baby. But that first to hatch baby looked so upset, poor dear.
