Things only got worse the next time Aleyath went to chew some firestone, as his painful wing distracted him from common sense, and his tongue ended up in the path of his teeth.

When they returned from Between they got back to work despite their aching tongues - well, it was really just Nzambith's tongue that ached, but Vennodren felt like his had been chomped on by a dragon too! - and it was with a feat of great dexterity that they managed to miss getting hit by another clump of Thread that rose from beneath.

The wind came up from nowhere once again and although Nzambith fought to stay in position, she pulled a muscle in her wing. She grimaced, but at least it wasn't a permanent injury, just one they'd have to mind when they got back on the ground to rest.

Another clump of Thread floated toward a wingmate, and Aleyath shouted at them to move, audibly and mentally. He was still a little stunned from the pain, but his yell did its job even so. His wingmate disappeared Between, avoiding any serious harm for now.

Quickly accelerating back into position, she righted herself just before the death-rain fell exactly where they had been. Ce'rys breathed a sigh of relief that he didn't realise he'd been holding.

The winds were picking up, and Astariarth struggled to keep her position in the Wing. Don't strain yourself, we'll be okay! Valiant were her efforts, and she kept the pair of them out of danger as she strove forwards.

Chomp went the unsuspecting jaws on a poor, unsuspecting tongue. Astariarth gave a low moan of pain and tried to hide it from her wingmates, though she occasionally tasted the air to see if the pain had faded yet.

Astariarth was determined she was going to make herself useful, no matter what. Small and agile, she believed she would be the perfect dragon to help out a wingmate-in-danger! She darted Between, and... HISSSSSS. The Thread curled around her wings, causing her to scream in pain. The little green Betweened once more, Ce'rys' mind already directing her down to the bowl for relief by the healers.
