Lexine smiled as her fingers closed around the cool golden ball. She slowed to a near stop before catching Echo's attention, showing him the snitch. After she was sure he noticed it, Lexine let the little ball go, then closed her eyes. After counting to ten, Lexine opened her eyes and began her search once again.

Before she could spot the snitch, Lexine was able to finally take hold of the devilish little ball. Indie’s heart sank a bit, but this was what she’d been expecting anyway. She took it as cause for improvement, and flew over to offer congratulations. She also wanted to ask for any pointers, but figured she should probably wait until after the try-outs. When her elder released the snitch again, Indie followed her example and resumed her hunt. One day she’d catch the thing. It didn’t have to be today, but it had to happen sometime.

Immediately after she started looking, Indie spotted the snitch. Her reaction to a find was getting better, and she quickly took off after it. Once again, however, Lexine had found it first. “Damn,” thought the first year, “Why is it every time I finally find the snitch, it’s too little too late?” She let out a quiet groan and focused on catching up. Hopefully this time she’d surprise both herself and the team and make a successful catch. It would be an excellent way to make a name for herself at Hogwarts, catching the snitch at her first tryout. This was her motivation as she pushed forward, beginning to feel the exertion of the sport.

spaceEcho caught the pass from Jean easily enough. He felt bad that Kait hadn't managed to intercept, but he figured it just meant she'd try harder. The seventh year took the ball and headed towards the other end of the field. He considered passing to Dylan, but figured he couldn't sit out for the entire duration of tryouts; besides, he hadn't practiced much over the Summer due to living in Diagon Alley. He was probably a little rusty.

⊗⊗⊗⊗⊗ Benjamin's shot had hit the target very well, going exactly where it was that he had placed it. He was two for two now. He was just glad he was putting them on target because that meant his practice had worked very well. Because before, he would even have some trouble, putting his shots truly on target from longer distances.
Watching carefully as the ball moved, Echo now had the quaffle. So, he went for it naturally because he really wanted to take on the challenge of going at Echo, their team captain. It would truly be a test for him because the older boy was a lot more experienced and probably had some tricks for shielding the quaffle. Going in for the steal, he hoped to get it.
He had gotten close to it, getting a touch on the quaffle, but he knew that Echo still had a secure holding on it, which was rather unfortunate, since Benjamin had to slow a little bit to catch his balance after losing it a bit on that steal. ⊗⊗⊗⊗⊗ BRONZE TEAM RULES! Another night at the Copper Coin Dylan sighed lightly as Benjamin scored a goal. He was glad that his friend was getting better and that they'd most likely to be able to play on the team together (he would've been very surprised if Benjamin didn't make it), but of course, Avian was probably having a hard time. Practice made perfect though. He flew by Echo, just in case he was stolen or decided to pass.OOC: Position: Chaser

So he built these wonderful automaton bloaks
And a very big steam powered giraffe what smokes Dating ~ Mira Mitchell ❝Timothy walked out onto the Quidditch field with the box of equipment floating alongside him holding his broom in one hand and his wand, papers, and a small bin of disposable quills in the other. Every step he took he began damning someone in his mind. One, damn Tanya for making him play this game. Two, damn Gypsy for actually picking him! Three, damn Echo for making him vice captain knowing full well he was graduating thus making him captain. And four, damn him for actually going along with this and not quitting years ago. It was a horrible cycle but it surprisingly got him to the pitch instead of making him run in the opposite direction. Once he was sure he was in a good place he lowered the box and canceled the spell upon it and placed all the other necessary forms and items on the table. The worst part was that he had yet to actually pick a Vice Captain! He'd choose Dylan but the teen was in the same year as him so when they both graduated they'd be leaving the team at a significant loss. So he had to chose someone at least a year younger than himself who had been on the team long enough to know its in's and outs. That, unsurprisingly, didn't leave him with a lot of people. The only people he could really think of was Jean, Kaitlyn, and Lola. He might've asked Benjamin had the other boy not quit last year, and of course have the same problem as he had with Dylan. He just sighed and supposed he should keep the thoughts to himself and wait until he saw the people fly and coordinate with each other before making a decision. As Timothy got the stuff ready he wondered if Elliot would arrive in time along with the others or before. He really hoped before so maybe his friend could keep him into sticking around and not pining the Captain pin on him and yelling "you're it!."❞
