Small and nimble, Phaedrath had little issue darting on the winds to flame thread. In fact, she was very good at it. Alosha beamed with pride. Yes, her green was the very best dragon. Phaedrath agreed whole heartedly.

They lit up a patch of thread however the ash cloud caught them and left some superficial burns that stung at their skin and hide.

Relax, Mine. The dragon rumbled, sending waves of support to his rider. We are halfway through the fray. Be at peace. The dragon belched forth another flame, even as the wind kicked up and threatened to push him from formation. The brown refused to yield -- instead, he flew harder, fighting against it, and ensuring he kept himself in position. The brown was not nearly as anxious as his rider, and did his best to keep the man level.
They were at one. They were doing their best, and that was all the Weyr could expect.

Menankith had given a very happy thrum at Macuith's assertion that he did deserve to be tended to, and even offered to assist in the future! His eyes whirled a delighted shadeof blue, which might just have been tinged with the faintest hint of purple. Possibly. And oh! Oh! After this, he shared helpfully, Aurinkoth and I and Ours are going to have a 'Night.' I am sure we would all fit on my ledge, if you would also like to have a Night! They were none of them especially big, after all - there might even be room for a certain small green as well! He would have to ask her, too, especially since Dr'stan wanted to get a better look at him later anyway. It was perfect!
A thought that was put to the back of his mind when Aresoth made his way over, which very nearly dampened his good cheer, until he saw the reason the bronze and His had come down. Haha! He would have to tell Elzebuth later, although he was quite certain that the addition of his fellow brown to the group would be too much for his ledge. Hmm. A dilemma for another time!
"Thank you," Nadry said to Dr'stan, ducking her head in gratitude as Menankith cheeped similar sentiments.
"We'll see you soon," she told greenrider and bluerider both with a nod that looked a bit more confident than she felt. "Stay safe!"
And with that, it was time to return to the fight even as half their blue and green clutchmates were finished for the day. They were soon up, and off, and...oh dear. Slightly singed. Menankith blorted out pained surprise when he wound up on the receiving end of a sibling's flame - Cynosuth's, to be exact! But the brown passed no judgement, and if anything, felt equally as guilty as his sister, for she was so clearly distressed by the error. It's alright! he rushed to assure her, I am fine! Mostly. Probably. I did the same thing to Macuith last time!
Maybe she would feel better knowing that? But it was...probably not good for his straps to get charred like that (not that it was good for him to get charred like that).

The wind was starting to pick up a great deal but the smaller pair got lucky with the gust of wind as it ushered them along with an added boost.
6. The wind is getting pretty bad. You struggle through, but wind up having to be extra alert for the windblown Thread! This is not a good situation to be in! [Geens, and blues wind up easily avoiding the blown Thread, their smaller sizes a great advantage. [+3 Agility!] [Browns and bronzes aren't quite as lucky. They maneuver as they can, but still wind up scored. Minor Damage -2 HP

Dormith diverted his path in the air, a lumbering hulk around thread that had decided to move in another direction. He flamed it as it passed by, rumbling as he continued on. A little nothing, just like the rest of it had been!

Well done Thella said to Lireloth who took a moment to preen at the attention. They were flying in some strong winds but Thread, for the moment, wasn't falling. It gave them both some time to look around and see how others were fairing. Some were struggling and some were doing quite well, but over all it seemed they were doing a good job keeping the majority of the Thread from hitting the ground.

Though she'd been equally as startled as Menankith, Nadry was no more offended than he, although she was slightly more concerned about the potential damage he might have incurred. And their sharding straps! They had other, more important things to worry about, and would have even more once they joined a full-fledged wing and were fighting at higher altitudes. With the recent change, Illa and Fenrith would be up at high altitude now - were they faring well? Had the firestone been enough?
