I miss so much when I'm switching off from graphics program to browser.
@Aretoo: I know that this RAM total is still larger than yours, but I can sort-of sympathize with your situation.
I'm trying to run a Photoshop-like program and an Illustrator-like program on 512MB of RAM...

Well... I really have no other choice. My university does not have a dedicated computer lab for the visual and performing arts (read: good computers for making music and visuals).
Furthermore, couple the fact that I need to carry my graphics programs and music programs on a flash drive further slows things.
*sighs* Why must the arts be treated like so!

Just think, Lin. In 9-12 months, I'll probably be sitting in a situation very similar to yours. xp

Well... I hope not; my school neglects the fine arts programs and puts money into the business program... stare

My high school also don't have arts program. Unless the student choose to major in Science-Architect.

It's not that I feel business is stupid... but the school doesn't realize how much better it would be if it rounded out it's programs a little.
For example, out of all the practice rooms on campus, only two are soundproof; we simply started to use vacant classrooms as practice rooms.
Oh! Also... the radiator of the music building exploded. Water leaked into the choral library and destroyed many sheets of music.
