The nice thing about being big and heavy was that as much as the wind tried to blow both rider and dragon about, it was easy to stay put. The hard thing was that thread also would get blown about, and the two took a direct hit!

Fortunately not to the face this time, however, as they blinked away to shake off the clump they'd been nailed with.

Just as the Thread returned the wind picked up again. Lireloth did well against the buffeting winds but paid for it with ichor as a big clump of Thread smacked directly into his thigh. But they were old pros at this now, ignoring the pain as they jumped Between and back a few moments later to rid themselves of the silver beast.

The calm that radiated from the brown to his rider never wavered, even when they found themselves in a sticky situation. Thankfully, the need for a quick call meant Gr'del lost his worry, and instead, found himself thinking fast. In a quick moment's visualization, both rider and dragon disappeared .... only to reappear a good distance away. Too far to flame, but still healthy and ready for another go.

We are together and are as one. Deep breaths, Mine, look at the good we can do.

Phaedrath had blinked away from a sheet of thread that would have been horrendous if she'd been hit by it, only to land almost on top of another. But she flamed it before she and Alosha settled, thrumming proudly.

They recovered nicely from the blow and turned their attention to the Thread once more, Flaming a patch and Thella grinned as it turned to ash. A little pain wasn't going to stop them, that was for sure! Lireloth dipped his wings and caught and updraft, rising back to the proper height.

Oh! Thread was right here! and it was not good! but jump! Just a bit up!. W'tarl shoved the image to her, and Altoth, warbling anxiously the entire time, made the leap.

Together they worked as a team, wheeling and diving and Betweening and Flaming. Thella and Lireloth both felt their confidence and their pride in their work growing. In a bit of a break from Threadfall Thella leaned forward to stroke Lireloth's neck, her delight clear as day which in turn made Lireloth feel a surge of energy. They were doing pretty darn good!

Dormith sure was feeling the winds that day, twisting out of the way of another clump of thread. Fire came easily for it, and he didn't even pay attention to the dust.

I miss when we could come up this high just to...be up this high. W'dre admitted.

Even as they flew, Gr'del winced as pain hit. Siriath gave a grunt, even as green sprayed through the edge of his mouth.

Siriath...

A small thing. My teeth slipped off the stone, and pierced my tongue instead. A good example of how not to chew stone. The dragon stated thoughtfully.

Though he was relaxed, the brown dragon did rather disliked the ache, which was echoed painfully through Gr'del's mouth. This wasn't a distraction or anything....

Managing to level out and stop having to fight so hard against the wind, Orodreth had a moment to breath. At least only a moment. The blue was looking around, wanting to keep an eye on the rest of his wing, he wanted to be able to do his job in protecting them.

Out of the corner of his eye Orodreth saw a sight that had the blue twist his head quickly. One of their wingmates had come from between and was flaming, going right towards Oyath.

Oyath! Watch out! The blue hoped he had been able to warn the green quick enough and was glad when he saw the disaster was averted.
