Unfortunately, irritatingly so, Rizdax couldn't see what was happening on the sands anymore but he could still hear gasps and see the edges of candidates moving from where he was with the healers. One eye open, even if his vision was slightly faded and edged with blackness thanks to all the blood loss, all he could do was send the warm feelings he was getting from the numbness of it all anymore out towards the babies. He couldn't see them, he didn't know how many there were or if there were any that were still out on the sands, but Riz wanted those baby dragons to know that they were loved regardless.

But it was something on the surface, a surface that was getting wrapped up and covered in bandages. One whole half of his head was covered in bandages and his chest bound up tight, he was going to look like some sort of spirit soon if the healers didn't stop wrapping, but soon enough the blanket was simply pulled tightly around him and words spoken to him. Words the redhead couldn't understand in that moment as he looked out towards the sands where his friends were still standing.

Be safe, find your partners. he thought towards both them and the baby dragons, knowing they might not hear him all the same.

Krahsujunth seemed to remain unbothered by his blue son’s antics. He would never begrudge his child a long look. This was the most important choice he would ever make after all. While outwardly he remained as stoic and stern and judgemental as ever, inwardly he found the little blue endearing. A low growl—a huff of laughter in truth—briefly puffed his ribs out as he plodded slowly across the sands to give the blue a view of another batch of hopefuls...or the stands if he so desired.

Andrestia

There were more bronzes now, more than the blonde could ever imagine there would be on the hatching sands as she glanced back to her new friend. “Well, it is a pleasure to join you on the sands Elyk, and look at all the bronzes now! Maybe one of them will be yours, or even the pretty blue.” The dragonet seemed quite off put that everyone had given all their attention to the metallics despite his appearance.

What was a surprise was the other gold that appeared on the sands, as Andrestia could almost feel herself hold her breath as she watched it move to its mother side. It was rare to see one, but two gold dragonets the candidates were rather lucky indeed. I hope you find someone to sing with little one, we are all happy to have you here.

“Still, no one should drink alone tonight right. If we impress or don’t impress let’s try to have fun together.” She tore her violet eyes away from the gold dragonet to look at Elyk again, she had meant every word.

The smaller bronze from the White and Red egg peeped, attempting to draw closer to the Candidates. Oh! He wanted to go and see them...! To see them all! Just to spend a moment near them, to -

But his brother would be so angry if he tried! Yet the bronze wanted so badly to go see the world. There were Candidates waiting to meet Theirs, just as he was! Did he dare?

What he would give to be as brave as these others who boldly ran up to the Candidates. But perhaps if he just edged this way it would be all right. Surely his twin brother would not mind?

Shar watched as a few more babies began to make their way across the sands, her eyes resting on the golden Remember Me baby. She could recall how the dragon had called out with distress to her mother to try to comfort Shar and the other Candidates that had gathered around her to touch her shell. It had been a slightly tense moment until it became clear that the then unhatched gold was only concerned for the Candidates touching her, not upset or angry or scared. Shar was glad she hadn't ended up like Poor Unfortunate Souls who was still in the protective clutches of its mother.

She was a bit surprised when a small blue dragon waddled over to them to sit beside Nala for a moment, his little noise of delight bringing a tiny smile to her face. It seemed the blue was just here to cheer Nala up a bit who was looking a little dejected as their group slowly dwindled and, taking a page out of Riz's book, she reached over to give the other girl's shoulder a squeeze.

"Chin up," she said quietly. "You got this." It wasn't the most emotional reassurance ever, but she wasn't going to abandon the girl and wanted to let her know that. She peered over at the little blue to see if he was Nala's, but he seemed content to sit where he was for the time being, acting as a little sentinel for her.

orri

Orri might have jumped when the green came whizzing through the infirmary just a little. What was with all this commotion all of a sudden? The bandaging and cleaning done, he was at least allowed to move his head. Thank Faranth one of the healers had grabbed his glasses...Although it was at a bit of a slant since he couldn't quite slide one arm behind his ear at the moment.

"Twins?" he echoed Dehka with some confusion. There had to be some kind of mistake...But when Orri squinted towards the Hatching sands, the glints were undeniable--as were the number of dragons. He went slack jawed when he saw the aforementioned twin bronzes. "Faranth's forked tail...Y-Yeah, I'm fine, but that's..."

He turned to Dehka and Kahbrohm with a familiar, sparkle-eyed, dopey grin.

"So cool! Maybe there's one for all of us here!" Was it really that far-fetched? Maybe this was going to be their moment! "I didn't think bronzes could hatch twins since they're normally so big--I mean statistically speaking, there's no law saying they can't, but, anyway--wouldn't that be funny if they were yours? And the number of metallics is astounding, especially with a brown father. Or are those Fianth's? We're kind of far away, and I was a bit blinded over here, heh, I need a play by play."

But that could wait for a moment, because when Kahbrohm pointed out You Got a Friend in Me, Orri barked a laugh. and then immediately regretted it as his back growled at him.

Grey and Green Canicheth

Finally full, Canicheth looked up, eyes whirling a deep and robust violet for a moment. She gave a little croon, looking up at her father's head at her brother. Oh my most wonderful brother! Find Yours soon, so we can relax together, yes? She then turned, nuzzling into Mimusa with a content hum. My dearest Mimusa, we should retire over here so we may rest for a bit.

Grey chuckled, rubbing her dear little dragon's side. "Are you tired already, love? Alright... One stays perfect with plenty of rest when they need it!" She moved aside, leading Canicheth to a good spot. There, she settled down, smiling as the young dragon laid her wedge-shaped head across the blue skirts. Perhaps she should... Change her color theme? But no, she still liked her blue clothing. It was bold against the green hyde, the perfect contrast while still matching in the nicest way.

Tarnaria

Watching the babies from where she stood with Halvor, Tarnaria couldn't help but giggle at the faces she swore the baby on top of Krahsujunth's head was making. Oh, but he was a delight to watch, and it was helping make her feel better! "Well, I hope he finds his soon! He doesn't look terribly impressed with us all!" She spared a bit of a glance at the gold baby, then looked to the greens and blues who hadn't yet Impressed, and then the bronze twins. It was certainly a shocking turn of events, to see two babies from one egg, but then she'd also seen the twins from the Weyr's last clutch down in the bowl and knew it was possible. They would always have a companion besides their rider... Unless their rider di- Nope, she wasn't going to think of that right now.

Finnisa
Poor little guy. It looked to Finn like the smaller twin bronze wanted to get down to business but was hesitating for some reason. The bigger twin seemed angry as well. The gold was peeping about and for a moment she had thought she’d seen such a snide look from the blue riding its father...things felt in a much lighter mood now, and it went a little ways towards alleviating her lingering shame. As long as the egg Fianth was curled atop hatched out fine...well.

Fianth
The golden dragon, who was still working on that little egg, glanced down at the green that came to rest beside her. She leaned down and gave Friend Like Me a little nuzzle and a happy chuff, rumbling with pleasure at the little one.

If you were to find Yours, I might fret less beloved. Perhaps you might wish to make their dreams come true? Though she would have kept the little ones all to herself, she knew they needed Theirs; knew they needed to find their most perfect match, just as she had found Hers. This was their moment, and she would rejoice when they each found their lifemate.

Cuddles and cooing over them could, and would, come later.

Kronoseth
The brown dragon was watching as the eggs hatched and each found Theirs. He was proud of every egg that produced a healthy dragonet; proud of each of his hatchlings. Too soon, he knew, the moment would be over... and he would once again be following Rhianth to Nabol and other parts of Pern. So he watched eagerly, tucking away each moment so he might take the memories with him. Too soon, he knew, he would be forgotten or replaced; perhaps by that scarred up blue, or some other dragon. It hurt his hearts, but he was and would always be devoted to Rhianth.

Where she went, he would follow... and would love and support his hatchlings from a distance. But at least these moments were still his, well and fully.

When Expecto Patronum approached, he lowered his head, eyes whirling a bright blue. Roooooar! He allowed himself to rumble, though it was not one of anger or fierceness. It was one of fondness and play. Hisssssss!! He hissed a little, baring his fangs at his son... But his green eyes were laced with purple. There is no brave hero here who can take me down!

If his son wanted to play, he would not say no.

Red & White Egg Bronze
The larger of the two bronzes gave a snarl when his cluchsib tried to move away. In a flash he had his wings spread, and he immediately snapped at the smaller bronze. Growling threateningly, he turned red eyes on the Candidates, and then bared his fangs once more at the smaller bronze. With a decided shove, he pushed him back and away from the group.

Not yet.

It was clear the larger of the two brothers was well in charge. For whatever reason, he had no interest in letting his clutchsibling look at the Candidates first. He gave the smaller bronze a swipe, unafraid to draw ichor, forcing his will on the other. He would submit.

Lumos Blue
The little blue leaned over and gave both Shar and Nalacko a little fond nuzzle. Still, he looked with alarm at the two bronzes, and gave a worried creel. Well... Surely, the two would work out their differences, wouldn't they? Puffing out his chest, the little blue sat near the two girls for a moment longer. He had time.

Helaku's eyes were wide for a few reasons. Another gold--from the other clutch, but another gold nonetheless--and twins! A surprise with any color, but they were bronzes to boot. There were a lot of hatchlings wandering the Sands now, and he couldn't help but wonder if one might be for him. Or, perhaps, the boy near him. "We've still got a chance, with so many out here" he remarked to Saekagi, golden-brown eyes moving from hatchling to hatching. Would any come their way? ...Wait a minute. Okay, scratch that, would any come their way without intent to harm?

Oh, look at that! The egg that had asked him to bring more over to Touch it had hatched into a fine-looking blue with some neat accidental acrobatics. "That one caught himself really well!" he noted, gesturing with one hand at the blue looking...a little irritated now. Hopefully just annoyed and not angry again. He hoped everyone was done with being really angry tonight.

A worried frown when he looked back to the twin bronzes, the bigger twin visibly more aggressive than his smaller and more timid egg-sib. Why?

The back "scratches" remained a nagging pain.

Tokki
Tokki frowned a little as he watched the larger of the two bronze twins (clearly they weren't identical) bully the smaller one. That wasn't very nice! Were all bronzes big bullying whers? No, because he'd already seen some of them behave just as good as could be. Still, he decided, he wasn't sure he wanted to hope for a bronze to bond with him. Not if they behaved like that.

The little blues, though... they were adorable.

Ruunan [HR] - 16 - he/him/his - App Woodcrafter

Ruun found himself smiling in pleasure as he watched the dragonets interact with their siblings. Expelliarmus and Kronoseth, the blue riding his father’s head… For a moment, he forgot his embarrassment and growing fear as he thought of the rich family bonds these children would have. It certainly made a soft sentimental like him squishier... Oh, it was just so darned cute!

And yet that feeling of pleasure and, dare it be said, pride- faded away as the bigger bronze twin swiped at his younger brother… Even at her meanest and most spiteful, Nyaranau had never hit him. He felt something small and fiery in the pit of his stomach, and clenched his fist. “H-hey… you… don’t be m-mean… to your brother.” His timid voice quavered as he tried to scold the bigger bronze- and then realised how much of a stupid idea that was and shut up immediately.

Eyes cast at the sands, he hoped to Faranth that none of the dragons had heard him. Yes, it was definitely better not to draw attention to one’s self in a negative way.

Candidate Nalacko she/her

Nala looked up to give Shar a bright smile for the vote of confidence. “Thank you Shar. You and Lumos have been such a big help. Thank you both.” They were a group of three, and that made her happy. She gave him just a tiny pat as he nuzzled her.

The teen looked up to see what had caused her little blue friend alarm and spotted the twin bronzes. “Oh my. It looks like he’s protecting him? I’m not sure from what though.” Nala glanced down beside her as Lumos puffed his chest a bit. She was grateful to his solid presence, but worried he was putting her before himself. If he needed to go find His, she would understand. She was ok now.

Zeraiah

The blue on his side's head still had Zeraiah's attention. Ah so he was getting the grand hour from way up high, was He He must have had quite the view.

His attention rested there that was until more angry sounds stole it away and it swung toward the squabbling bronze brothers. Oh dear. Zeraiah didnt know how common two dragonets sharing a shell was, but he certainly hadn't heard of it before. Maybe it was better if they stayed together? Still, the littler one hadn't really done anything wrong, had he? Surely the larger would relax when he got his bearings. There was time. No need to fight or hurt, well anyone.

When Daddy hissed at him, EP went squeaking back to hide behind his leg. But then the baby ran forward, dashing out to face Monster Daddy. He wasn't afraid! Not at all! Even if he was hiding a little bit as he approached. I'm the hero and I'm gonna fight you, bad monster! the baby cried, rushing up to swat at Kronoseth with his little tail.

The small Red and White bronze cowered away from his brother, his awkward gait apparent as the larger bronze menaced him. He was sorry! He would be better, oh so much better. He didn't even look at the Candidates, licking at the ichor that now dripped from his leg to try to stop it.
