We probably won't need air conditioning here 'til July at least. xd
The museum I worked in last summer was in a really old, historic building. Built in the 1700s, with very little done to update it over the years, so it's pretty drafty, and it's right on the beach. I started work in June, and was it ever cold. @_@ We had a space heater on in the kitchen all day because it was so chilly.
I so did not get a tan last summer. blaugh
@Bass: That doesn't make you an idiot. sad

It's not stupidity, Bass; it's love. It causes people to do really really strange and irrational things. I get like that too.
Edit: Personally I'm not fond of tanning; regular skin colour is nice and a tanned appearance from doing things that aren't for the sole purpose of becoming tanned is alright as well. Then again... *looks at self* I am biased since I have naturally tanned skin.

I just wish she'd make up her mind.
She's going on about how if we get together, we'll end up ruining our friendship, and how she doesn't want to go out with friends. How does she ever expect to find someone, if she's not friends with them first?
If anything, her current arsing around is gonna ruin our friendship. As much as I love her, I can only take so much s**t before I get pissed off with it

I'm naturally really pale. whee I don't like laying out in the sun or getting seriously browned, but a bit of healthy sun doesn't bug me. You know, so it doesn't look like I'm nocturnal. sweatdrop
@Bass: Sounds tricky. =( I hope she makes her mind up soon.

aretoo actually occasionally tans for *medicinal* reasons... he has mild psoriasis! biggrin However, it also feels good occasionally... but he doesn't hve the patience to be one of those people who lay in one place for hours.
And... you think the human heart gets any smarter as it ages? The brain, maybe, but the heart, seldom. wink
EDIT: aretoo is somewhat olive-hued naturally, and doesn't get much darker in summer. Of course, that also means he doesn't get much lighter in the winter... mrgreen

The hard thing is... well... from what I've learned from talking with some people girls have two different "ladders" for friends and romantic relationships. It's hard to get from the friend ladder to the romantic ladder.
Of course, you don't have to listen to me considering I'm a gay guy trying to explain a relationship with a girl... biggrin

My genes give me a good mix of Scottish, Irish and a bit of Japanese. gonk No one in my immediate family is very dark-skinned, although most of my cousins are red-heads.
I ended up with freckles, to boot. domokun
