Akila looked up at him innocently, and gave him a childish grin somewhere between a smile and a smirk, that said she knew exactly what she'd been doing.

Markus chuckled and shook his head. "You would put me to sleep in the middle of a forest?" He asked playfully. "Ah well. At least with you here, it would be a comfortable sleep."

Akila nodded to his question, and nuzzled against him. Her ears flickered. She was obviously doing much better than when he had first arrived.

Markus smiled, reaching up to stroke her ears softly. He was glad to see she seemed to be doing better. He was quiet for a long moment then asked, "What time do you need to be back?"

Akila frowned and drew in the dirt a question mark. She didn't know. They weren't there...and they didn't know she left. She didn't know how long she had....but how could she make him understand what she meant?

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus drew back his wings slightly so he could have more light to see the mark in the dirt. He rolled his eyes. "Let me guess. They forgot about you again, just left you in your room or something." He said, guessing at it. "So you decided to leave all on your own."  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Aleera watched as the crowds began to break up, various groups setting to work. She smiled and glanced up at Clorogne. "Beautiful, isn't it? Seeing them scurry to work for you."
Markus smiled, holding her close. "Shall we stay here? Or head back to my place? One for forest, two for base." He said, holding up one finger, then two to show what he meant.

Akila stuck up two fingers, pressing them into his hand, and looked up at him gratefully.
Clorogne smiled to himself, "It's great to be back." He wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Oh, yes, it was.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus smiled, gasping her fingers and kissing them lightly. "Alright then. Let's get going." He stood up, not letting go of Akila. He grinned her her. "Ready?" He asked, then jumped into the sky, snapping open his black wings and taking flight.
Aleera leaned against Clorogne's side. "It'll be even better once the new palace is up." She said with a smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila looked at him with a question in her eyes at first, when he didn't put her down, but when he took off, she clung to him like she always did. The only thing missing was the squeak, and she was sure that had been annoying anyway. She watched the sky, and the trees go back, but mostly snuck glances up at Markus.
Clorogne nodded his agreement, "Everything about it will be more vast," he looked down at her, "and more grand."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus glanced down at her, smiling. He rose high into the air then began gently swooping, slow and graceful maneuvers, making sure to not scare Akila too badly. Slowly, he lost altitude until he landed right at the entrance to the tunnels. He set Akila down and opened the tunnel for her.
Aleera smiled. "With you in charge, I don't doubt that." She looked over the crowds, then nodded, satisfied that they were working hard. She glanced back at Clorogne. "What say you that we relax while they work?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila stumbled a little as she was set down, and she took Markus' hand as she headed into the tunnel.
Clorogne shook his head , "Not this time, love." he kissed Aleera's cheek, "we want them to like me."
