I'll probably be getting a haircut soon. I always make sure to brush my teeth. For interviews and days where I go in to get my applications, I have a nice pair of slacks, a collared shirt, and if I need to wear a coat, a nice clean one.

Like I said though, when it comes right down to it. When I have all that going on, I still don't clean up much or look very presentable or hiring friendly ( Can't see it in the pictures, but I have really dark bags under my eyes )

I also have no work experience and I'm a 21 year old high school dropout, which I have a feeling is working against me... Coupled with the fact that Michigan has one of the worst unemployment rates in the country, I'd say I'm ********, but I'm going to try anyway.

Employment here is bullshit. It's all about how you look and not the skills you bring to the place.

Also, I meet requirements to have the state pay for my GED classes/test, but they refuse to pay for it, saying that I DON'T meet the requirements. So basically, to get back into classes and to take the tests, it's going to cost me about 200 - 300 dollars, which I sure as ******** don't have right now. So as far as I'm concerned, screw the educational system, I'll just go blindly into the world with nothing but what I have right now : /

unemployment rate is pretty high, i got lucky with the apprentaship timing.
I can't actually be an apprentice either, just a candidate cus I am not done with school.
double luck is that my apprentaship network gives me the added education.

And pancake, I wish I was in michigan rather then here, even if I hate the payment system on that side of the world xP
