Yeah. It is a bit irking. But in my opinion parents should be understanding that this is the time to let the now-adults become adults. Perhaps I'm just deluded but I feel that at that age, parents should still be in charge when they live in the same house still but should also understand that they need to let their adults fly into the world on their own.

Oh I agree, there should be more freedoms given but they shouldn't expect to have complete freedom either, unless they are willing to pay rent and buy their own food and basically depend on only themselves... err does that make sense?

Yeah. I mean... if I am to live in my parent's house, I still plan to help around because it's just courtesy to the other people you're living with. My parents let me do pretty much anything now when I'm at home just as long as I do my part with the house maintenance (and go home whenever an emergency strikes).

You don't become an Adult when you turn 18, 20, or 21 or whatever the age minimum limit is wherever you are. You choose to become one when you are ready.

I agree with it; one is an adult when one has matured enough to think like an adult.

My only thing that I think different is that you don't always choose. Sometimes the conditions you live under force you into adulthood and you grow up just a bit too fast.

sometimes it's kind of hard to become an adult when the parents continue to treat thier kid like a child...
"Don't worry... we'll take care of everything..." I hear that lots....

Two or three for me.... probably two... so that i won't have a middle child yelling at me saying "You treat me different cause i'm the middle child!"
i used to say that a lot to my parents....
