Amaya was sitting at the computer with her music playing while she typed away with her right hand, having brought up a shadow to type for her left. She had spent her time answering emails and talking to her publisher, but it was nice to get a little work done and know Calista and Adrian were out bonding and having a good time while she could relax alone for a bit.
Calista giggled, holding onto Adrian still with a deathgrip, though she seemed less nervous about flying this time.

"This is your captain speaking. We'll be landing at the scenic apartment shortly. We're seeing some light snowfall with temperatures in too freaking cold. We thank you for flying Air Adrian and hope you have a nice day." Adrian said with a smile, continuing the captain routine as he neared home, soon touching down in front of the door. "Honey, we're hoooome!" he said as he walked in.

Calista laughed, hopping off once they were in the apartment. "Hi mommy! We had fun!" She told Amaya as she ran over.
Amaya turned down her music, smiling as she pulled Calista up onto her lap. "Glad to see Adrian didn't drop you." She teased, hugging the girl as she looked over to Adrian. "You have fun?" She asked with a smile, raising her eyebrow.

"Yep! Snow angels, snowmen, and hot chocolate. And pictures as promised!" Adrian said with a grin as he pulled out the camera while walking over.

"Sounds awesome." Amaya said with a grin, moving Calista off her lap so she could get up. She went over to Adrian and took the camera so she could go through the pictures.

"Yeah, turns out real wings do not, in fact, make for good snow angels." Adrian said sheepishly when he brought up the snow angels. "And now can you guess who these happy snow folk are?" he asked with a grin as he cycled through the different shots of the snowmen.

Amaya laughed as they went through the snowmen. "Nice guys, I'm impressed. I definitely couldn't do anything like that." She said with a grin, nudging Adrian with her arm before she mussed up Calista's hair.

"I wish you could have been there." Adrian whispered to Amaya, starting to beam again. "Once we finished them all, she called them 'mommy, daddy, and then me'. I don't know if I can take credit when she was talking about my snow double, but I call that progress."

Amaya smiled, looking up at Adrian after glancing to Calista for a second. "I dunno. But that definitely is progress." She said, kissing his cheek. "Glad you guys had a good time."

"Next snow day your arm is healed you're coming with us." Adrian said with a smile as he put an arm around her shoulders.

"But it's so cold out there. Can't I just watch from the window?" Amaya asked, giving him puppy dog eyes. She wasn't a huge fan of being out in the cold for long periods of time, and she'd been playing with Calista in the snow for four years now. It used to be a daily thing with them and Amaya remembered the many cold days.

"But that just sounds so lonely." Adrian said with a slight pout. "Although I guess you can make up the family bonding time in summer."

"Well I'm a lonely girl. Remember?" Amaya asked with a sigh. "Fine, whatever, we'll go on vacation or something, but I've had four years out in the snow. It's cold out there." She muttered, shaking her head a little.
