"I go to places to hang out and write. I've met people there. Obviously I know people like Marco and other people too. I just choose to be alone a lot is all." She said, grabbing a beer out of the fridge and popping off the cap.

"Well, I could possibly make a few if I wanted to exploit the fact that I'm raising a mutate kid." Amaya muttered, taking a seat on the arm of the couch as she took a swig of her beer.
"You're gonna write about me?" Calista asked, having been passing through at the moment when she heard her mother talking. However, Calista's attention span was short and she walked away after a moment.

"Nah, I've got a kickass lawyer. And zero tolerance for strangers following me around." She told him, stretching a little. "More of writing a book about raising her up to adolescence, then another book for through adolescence and what not." Amaya muttered.

"On the other hand, she's not going to be as much of a handful when she grows up." Adrian pointed out. "Everyone outgrows their imaginary friends eventually, even if they are real."

"I'm not so sure..." Amaya sighed. She worried about her schizophrenia going over to Calista. And she had a feeling that even if Calista liked Adrian and called him her dad, the fact that she never knew her real dad would eventually become an issue to her at some point, though she didn't feel like killing Adrian's good mood by telling him that.

He could tell the schizophrenia was on her mind again. "Amaya, you've got your schizophrenia under control. No one would even know you have it unless you told them. If she has it, she can be taken care of too. There's not even any guarantee she has it." he said reaching for her free hand and holding it in comfort.

"They told me two things. They'd know she had it if her 'friends' ever start talking to the point that anyone besides just Calista can hear it, and if she did have it, her 'friends' would show up more frequently and they would be dangerous." Amaya murmured, her fingers wrapping around his hand slightly. "You don't know how many times I've just stared at Hazama and Ken and hope they don't say anything."

"Well they seem to be staying pretty quiet right now, so I think you're good. Did they say if there was a cut off age? Like you would know if she'd be in the clear after a certain point?" Adrian asked. "I know jack all about...disorders like that, so I have no idea."

"Well so far so good." Adrian said taking her beer from her and setting it aside. "But other than talking to her friends and her friends talking back it shouldn't change too much." he said as he gently pulled her onto his lap and wrapped his arms around her. "Schizophrenia or no, we'll still lover her."

"Of course...but if she did, her friends could become and do anything. If it gets violent, it could put her in a lot of trouble. I mean, I got out alright, but I get violent if I don't take my meds. And if I ever do anything again because of my schizophrenia, it's been made clear that I'll be in huge trouble. So I'm worried..." Amaya told him, laying her head on his shoulder.

"I don't think things'll get violent. That's not like her and she hasn't had any problems with bullying to make her need to retaliate." Adrian said resting his head against hers. "As for you, if something does happen, I'll be there to snap you out of it. If some government suits think you're a threat, I'm not going to let them take you away. Same with Calista."
