He waved it off. "I have rested enough. I'll wait 'til you go to sleep." But he did close his eyes as he sat, to make her happy. He wasn't going to leave her here alone, not with Authion boiling mad. He didn't trust Authion to leave Maya alone.

Maya shrugged, but she was tired. She had a feeling he was hesitant to leave her in case Authion came back, which at this point she fully expected him to. But for the moment she'd just have to ignore it and try to rest while she could. Crawling under the sheets, Maya fell asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow, exhausted after the night's events, she pulled the covers a little closer around her.

Fid waited a while before Getting up and moving to the window. Shutting the shades, he didn't want Maya to hurt later on. He then moved over to her and tucked her in a little better, being gentle around her wound. Sitting back down in his chair, he soon dozed off.

It was late morning when Authion burst into the room, the door slamming open as he stormed in with a few guards, immediately pulling the curtains open.
Maya had been sleeping soundly up to this point, but when the door slammed, her eyes flew open, and she immediately regretted it, shouting as she clamped her hands over her eyes. While her eyes might've been able to handle the soft candle light during the night, Maya had never been out on the surface during the day, meaning she'd never seen daylight, and it was much brighter than she anticipated.
Authion smirked, seeing the Drow struggle with the daylight before nodding to Fid, guards pulling him out of the chair and onto his feet, holding him there. "Did you think I was kidding last night? When I told you I expected reports, I meant that I expected reports. I don't care what kind of new animal you picked up, you still participated in a fight against that creature's kind last night, which means you need to fill out the report. Now." Authion hissed.

Fid stood up and walked slowly to Authion. The elf was now ticking him off. All of a sudden he threw a punch at the elf's nose and went to close the curtains. Turning back, he spoke calmly. "Don't you dare treat me as a tool. And don't you ever raise your voice to me again or I'll make you regret it. Now, go be a good little peasant and fetch me the reports. I will fill them out here." He growled like a wolf to emphasize his point of not wanting to be messed with and he hated Authion for finding enjoyment in hurting Maya. "And she has a name. Use it. It's Maya."

Authion paused, bringing his hand up to his face, he grinned and looked at the blood dripping in his had. "This order comes from the general. Not me." He told him slowly, his voice dripping with venom. "He wants to speak with you about the incident last night. And he's not coming here with that creature here." He said. "Keep in mind, if you disobey the general, he can have you banished. And then that creature will be without any protection." Authion told him with a dark grin. He didn't fear the half elf, but he was about to lash out at him if he didn't obey the orders he was given.
"Fidelius...you should go. I'll be fine for a while. I don't need to see to still be able to defend myself if he attacks me." Maya told him softly, still rubbing her eyes as she tried to get her vision back, blinking a little as she looked at her hand. It was blurry, and there were large stars in her vision and she was having a hard time trying to see, but she didn't want Fid to get in more trouble because of her. She could handle herself, even if she was temporarily blind.

Fid looked at the girl and nodded. He was reluctant to leave, but he would trust her. "Come on Authion. Lets go show your mommy your wound and then we and see the General." He left at a brisk pace, wanting to get back as soon as possible. Walking down the hall, he stopped and listened for Authion's footsteps. He didn't want that sneaky elf bothering Maya. He didn't worry about the other elves, Authion, though, was well trained.

Authion rolled his eyes and looked to the guards he'd brought with him, giving them a nod before he slowly trailed behind Fid.
Once Authion was gone, Maya could hear the guards moving towards her. "So what exactly is the plan here?" She asked in a bored tone, moving to sit at the edge of the bed while she brushed her hair out with her fingers.
"There's been complaints about your scent. You smell of earth and blood." A guard muttered, stepping a little closer.
A laugh escaped Maya's lips as she looked to him, her vision beginning to adjust to the light. "Well I was up late killing Drow last night. And I did live in caves until today. So what? You're going to drag me in some well lit room and make me bathe while you all watch just to make sure I don't try to escape?" She asked, a dark grin creeping to her face at their shocked expressions. "Lead the way then since I'll be blinded again shortly." Maya told them, extending a hand for them to lead her, laughing once more as a guard grabbed her arms roughly and bound them behind her back before leading her out of the room.

Fidelius walked onward as soon as he was sure Authion was following. Keeping ahead of the elf, he hurried along to the General.

When they reached the bath house, Maya had a hard time adjusting her vision yet again. The sunlight reflecting off the water made it seem even brighter. She stripped off her clothes easily and slipped into the water, grabbing a pitcher and pouring the warm water over her, smiling lightly as she felt it stream down her body.
The guards were watching, though she'd been naked in front of males several times before as a high priestess of Lolth. Those were all for special ceremonies of course, but she saw no reason to be embarrassed. They needed to watch her now to make sure she didn't try to kill them if they turned their backs to her, and Maya was just happy being able to bathe and get the dried blood washed off her. When she was done getting herself cleaned off, Maya left the bath and returned to where she had left her clothes, only to find them missing.
"Your clothes were taken away to wash the blood off them. In the meantime you can wear this." A guard murmured, shoving a simple elven dress at the Drow.
Maya was not used to wearing that much clothing to be quite honest, but she didn't want to put dirty clothes back on either, so she slipped the dress on, being led back to the room once she was done. Now she just waited for Fidelius to return, forcing herself to get used to the sunlight by keeping the shades open and just looking around the room, trying to stay focused.
When they reached the General's tent, Authion walked over and murmured something to the elf, who had his back turned. Once he heard Authion, he brushed the Elf off and Authion left the tent, leaving Fid and the general alone.
"Tell me, Fidelius. What happened last night?" He asked slowly, turning around to face the half elf, his hands folded behind his back.

Fid stood tall, chest out, chin up. He wasn't going to show the General disrespect. Too much at least. "Sir. At the beginning of my night watch I went to the bear's cave to check up on Maya, leaving the owl on watch. Conferming that she was safe, I journeyed back to my usual spot to keep watch. It wasn't soon after that the owl alerted me to an attack of drow. I went to see what was happening. With three mages and five fighters against Maya, the bear, and I, the drow were killed within minutes. The bear took Maya back to the cave after she was hit with a poison tipped arrow, and I cleaned up." That was pretty much all he had to say. The Elders or Authion probably filled him in on what happened next. Probably.

"And what possessed you to keep such a dangerous creature? Why did you not capture her the moment you saw her?" The general asked, a scowl on his face. He'd been filled in mostly, but it still made little sense why the Drow was free to wander about for two days before anyone noticed her.

"Other than the fact that not only am I alive, but also the wolves? Nothing really. I just thought she was different. She is, I'm not gutted and when I let her try and kill me, she didn't even touch a weapon or try to flick me." He shrugged and looked at the General. "Tell me once when a drow hasn't killed, taken, or tortured a victim?"

"Given the gender of Drow we're dealing with, I'm not entirely sure. I expect you to continue your patrol, not be at her side twenty-four seven. There are guards watching her. Will that be a problem?" He asked, still not seeming very happy at all.
As she flipped through a book, Maya heard the door open. Before she could even turn around, Authion had her firmly by the neck, and slammed her up against the wall. "I knew you would be back." Maya whispered, feeling her oxygen supply suddenly very cut off as she looked at Authion.
"Why are you here, Drow? What have you done to make Fidelius your little puppet?" He growled, pushing her up harder against the wall.

Fid thought for a moment and shook his head. "Only if you keep Authion away from her. I don't trust him at all. If I find out he hurt her, he will get more than a bloody nose and you loose a sentry." He walked toward the exit and waited to see if the Genera; had anything else to say.
