Jesse Randall ~ Leaving Jesse's Dorm Room for the Courtyard ~
Jesse hadn't fallen asleep at her desk whilst adding the finishing touches to Silme's coat...Nooo! A little stiff from resting her head on her outstretched arms, the Fennec Child gave a yawn, stretching before looking sleepily around her room... What time was it? She wondered, casting a glance towards the window through which the day looked quite dreary... At least it wasn't cold...right? She shivered at the thought, then after a further moment of thought, she realised it was a new day.
Stuffing the little cloak into the pouch on her belt, Jesse grabbed the equipment she needed for her Botany Class that day and rushed for the door.
Only once she was outside would she take on her Shifter Form, melting down into the appearance of the little Fennec Fox which was often seen skittering along the corridors.
It wouldn't take her long to make her way towards her intended destination, but after being quite thrown out by the loud explosion the day before, Jesse couldn't help but find herself drawn towards the Courtyard...
Pulling up her hood, the Fennec Child would slip out into the light breeze - a complete contrast to the night before when everything was a brusque Gale... Shivering slightly, she would fold her arms across her chest, looking around as she stepped further out into the space.
"Whoa..." She was quite surprised to see the large circle of dirt where crater which had been created by Tess's Explosion, had been... Unaware to the Fennec Child, Tess had been hit in the head with a piece of metal during the lesson and with the girl's Raiment being so volatile, it had left quite a sight to be seen when the daylight had come... She would sniff the air, but the scents of many people left her unable to pick out anyone specifically... With her interest so drawn to the crater, sadly Jesse failed to see her friend - quite unaware that there was anyone else present in the courtyard.
Warily, Jesse stood by the edge, peering across the space, "I wonder what happened?" Although the Courtyard had been cleaned to an exceptional level there were still the occasional pieces of metal and paper hidden amongst the snowdrifts and so she would stoop down to pick up one of each, stuffing both into her pockets whilst trying to think what on Eoana had taken place to cause such a mess....

Kayne was carrying his satchel, wearing the hooded cloak alongside his winter suit, as he bade goodbye to his parents after the warm, hearty breakfast. He ended up having to take a carriage since the weather was cold outside and the warmth within its confines would help to keep his body temperature in check. A smile crept up his face as he looked through the view of the city; apart from the weather, everything looked so normal.
Except that there would bad news arriving once he would arrive at the school.
-- Entering the Courtyard --
Lerato was the one waiting for him after the court mage was done telling the others apart from him about the incident. Obviously, there was the shocked look on his face at the news; the explosion was something that shouldn't be taken lightly and to hear that one of his loyal customers was one of the people taking the brunt of the blast... his lips thinned at such a thought. Definitely, he should prepare the food for those in the infirmary once the cooking class was done for. But first, curiosity got the best of him when he went to check the damage at the courtyard. Based on the reports, there was a massive hole as part of the damage in the aftermath, but when he arrived, there was the patch of earth covering it up. Not a complete repair, but that would prevent people from falling down into the hole accidentally. Scarlet eyes then noticed the two people within the vicinity and he was the one answering the question.
"A practical exercise gone kaput, and in case you are wondering, yes, there was an explosion caused by one of the students. I think it's best that we head away towards a safer spot while we still can; there will be more repairs coming around. " He then raised an eyebrow. "Should you be in elective class, young miss? Or you have other reasons why you ended up here?"

While Fidal lingered in the courtyard wondering where he should wander to next to look for the Fennec, his luck of the rabbit had kicked in. A small fox girl had wandered into the courtyard. She was inspecting the once crater, and picking up some of the smaller debris Fidal had no time or patience to pick up yesterday.
Jesse seemed to have not noticed Fidal. While having a sly streak, he wasn't about to scare the poor girl. He stood in silence and contemplated the best way to grab Jesse's attention. He felt that in the tired stupor she seemed to be in, any sudden noise would startle her.
Again, his luck kicked in as another addressed her. A young man woth red eyes had appeared and was explaining what had happened. Of course, Fidal had learned what had happened here, so the explanation was a slight bit redundant for him, but Jesse didn't know, so it still seemed like a small blessing.
"Forgive me, kind sir. It is my fault she isn't in class yet. I was walking her to her class and thought we could take the scenic route. We were caught by the somewhat chaotic sight." When one is trained as a butler one learns two things about lying. The first is that one should never lie when it could lead to endangering the master. The other is that one should lie when it can prevent danger. Fidal, not wanting to see his sister like fox friend in trouble had chose the second path.
"We shall be on our way shortly, I promise." That wasn't a lie.

Jesse's ears would finally twitch into life as she heard Kayne speak - she would turn to face him, suddenly spotting Fidal beside her and flinching slightly, "Oh!" She would have said that she hadn't heard him arrive, but realised if she said that now after her friend had just stalled for her, they would both be in trouble, "Oh, yes," her ears flicked back nervously, "It was such an explosion, I just wanted to see it all for myself...Quite shocking really, left my poor ears ringing..." holding her ears slightly with her hands, she looked to Fidal, nodding as he said they would be on their way shortly,
It made sense that they should move to a safer spot, but with the 'exercise' presumably over, were they not safe already...? She would nod in understanding as Kayne explained that more repairs were to come and glanced to the door leading back inside, not wanting to get in anyone's way,
"Well, I think we've seen it now," she would glance towards Fidal, "The scenic route was a wonderful idea and I'm glad to have seen where it all happened, but I'm getting a little cold now..." at that, she would rub her arms before turning, "I don't want to be late for Marsienn's Class, It feels like a long while since I attended..." she felt a little bad for not exactly attending every lesson, but if it gave them an opportunity to leave, then it was as good an excuse as any, "Thank you for filling us in on what happened," she would bow her head respectfully before shuffling towards the door, glancing back as she waited for Fidal to catch up.
[Elohari home] She smiled warmly at Gannon, how he enjoyed her company and how distracting she could be. It was devious to mention it, it encouraged her hunger. The two had spent their first night together, and once more in the morning. She didn't want to overuse or overstep, but her craving, eagerness to remain next to Gannon had transposed since last night. And she hoped it would never fade.
It seemed Gannon would have an eventful day. She knew he wouldnt have much time for peace. Having to speak with the student whom caused such trouble, then to the Captain of the guards over protection in general, and the students, then off to ensure the gala went off without a hitch. He seemed to have quite a full plate today. Elohari was glad he would spare enough to take a stroll through the courtyard. The calm before the storm.
Elohari would dress for the day, choosing a form fitting gown decorated in purples at the cuffs, white at the hem, and a shade of blue for the rest of the dress. A cloak full of fur was her choice today, with her hair braided down the sides, creating two full french braid pigtails. The two would stop at Gannons place, chaning his outfit and soon heading out for the day.
[enter the courtyard] "What do you suppose you'll do with Miss Tess?" Elohari inquired, hands linked gently against Gannons arm. The wind was thankfully not as bitter as yesterday, but the chill still present. After yesterdays event, she found herself eager for physical touch. Something as simple as this had her glowing. Indeed she was today, glowing. Conformation of feelings, expressing and living them was wonderful. She felt anew.
Kayne nodded, hearing the reasons out clearly, though at the part where the female had to rush because of the risk of getting late, that's where he grinned. "Better get a little exercise while you are at it." And as the two were going to leave, he spotted two of his co-workers talking about something, about a woman named Tess. He recalled Lerato talking about her briefly alongside her raiment, but other than that, there was no additional info given to Kayne. And as much as he wanted to talk to them, he had more pressing matters to deal with; he still had the cooking elective lesson to tackle, something unorthodox. And there were students who ended up in the infirmary because of getting injured and would be unlikely to attend the gala later tonight. But still, it wouldn't mean that he had nothing to do to cheer them up, right?
Indeed, that would be his plan for today; he immediately left for the kitchen.

Gannon released a sigh at the mention of Tess. He wasn’t looking forward to this meeting with the student. He had been very firm with her the day before and felt that he might have frightened her somewhat. However, he didn’t regret his words or his actions. Tess’s actions had placed half a dozen of her fellow students in the infirmary with serious injuries. Tess needed to be counseled on what she needed to do to prevent another incident like this from happening, for her safety and the safety of her peers.
“First, I’ll talk to her about the precautionary measures that we expect her to implement from now on. Then we will discuss her education. I’d like to find her a private tutor so that she gets the education she needs without endangering her fellow students.” Gannon thought about taking Tess to the infirmary so she could see that her classmates were alright, more or less, but he wasn’t sure if it was a good idea or not – he’d leave it up to Tess.
“I know that she didn’t mean for the incident to happen, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that it happened.” Gannon said with a frown as he escorted Elohari through the scene of the incident. Gazing around the space, he saw that someone had attempted to clean up the area and had even filled in the crater that Tess had been standing in when Gannon had come upon the scene. Not wanting to linger, he led Elohari toward the hallway entrance and into the warmer halls of the Academy.
“How will you be occupying your time today, Vehnan?” He asked not only because he wanted to know but because he also needed to know where he was escorting her for the day. Her classroom? Her office? His office? In any case, he was glad to have her close for a little while longer.
Elohari chuckled lightly, hearing the other male sigh in frustration. She'd give the male a soft squeeze, building up his courage. It was charming to see him care so much for the students, seeing his frustration previously had set ablaze to her. Today however, she kept herself well mannered. Her eyes followed the male then soon to the courtyard, noticing its new layout. It was the first time Elohari had seen the damage to property, though now filled in. The size of the crater was obvious though, through fresh soil patted down. "Oh my." Elohari shy spoke, eyes widening in surprise. "I thought perhaps you were exaggerating.." Her surprised face would move up to Gannons "This is terrifying... I am so glad none seriously injured... this could have gone awfully.." Her eyes moving back down to the destroyed land.
He spoke of his plans for today. First and foremost, was to plan out actions on Tess. The child needed boundaries, that Elohari agreed. To coop her up, however, Elohari wasn't so sure it would work. The young child needed to grow and learn, often from mistakes. But this sort of mistake... could be lethal. He seemed to offer a few options, she'd offer a small nod in response. "Actions do need to be taken, that is true." Elohari swiftly spoke, her head moving to the horizon for a moment. Sunrise had passed, but the leftover colors remained just close enough to see. She smiles warmly at it.
"I know you will choose the most fitting option." she confidently spoke, knowing very well the male had given much thought in the last 24 hours. It saddened her heart to see him so stressed, but it did prove a point to her, that when push comes to serve, he would be there in the worst of times. He would protect, not run. That's all one could hope for. Not that they'd fight or die for such a cause, but that they'd simply try with all their heart, it seemed Gannon was such a type.
"Hmmm... I haven't given it much thought, to be truthful." Elohari swayed a bit before glancing upwards "I'd hate to interrupt your busy day.." Her eyes showed confusion as her brows tweaked a bit "Perhaps I'll go study? Visit the students in the infirmary? I am not sure."

Fidal chuckled to himself. The little fox was adorable. As she went on ahead, he turned to Kayne one more time. "Thank you for being understanding. Have a good morning." With that he turned and headed to join Jesse at a brisk pace.
As soon as they were in the halls and Fidal was sure they were out of eyesight, he gave Jesse a quick hug and then continued to walk with her. "Hello, my foxy friend. It is always a pleasure to see you. Now, I know you must be wondering, 'My dearest friend, Fidal, whatever could you be doing here?' Well, I'll answer before you ask."
Without another word, he held out the book she had been looking for. He looked over her with a curious eye to gauge her reaction. "I was lucky to find you when I did. I was admittedly lost looking for you."He rubbed the back of his head as he laughed. He wasn't afraid to admit it, not to her at least. He was sure she would be kind about it.
Elohari’s surprise at the courtyard’s current state wasn’t very surprising – anyone who came upon the scene, cleaned up or not, would be shocked. The amount of damage done could have been lethal. If any of the students had been even a few feet closer to Tess, she could have killed them. It was a miracle that the students that had been injured hadn’t sustained more damage.
Gannon was glad that Elohari had confidence in his decisions regarding Tess. It was a tough situation but one that he needed to handle personally. Lerato was busy with substituting the Music class until the could find a suitable replacement and Vivienne…well she was overseeing the Tadfaer and Tenebraer students, so it was left to him to deal with these sort of student related incidents.
Escorting Elohari down the hall, he smiled slightly at her considerate words. He would gladly welcome her company if she so wished to stay with him. “If you wish to stay with me and offer your own council to Tess, I would welcome your assistance and your company.” Truth be told, he wanted to keep her close, but if she felt the need to have time to herself, he would escort her wherever she wished to go for the day and see her later after classes had finished. They would both be attending the Gala after all…
Brageet chirped lightly as she cuddled closer to his head, her taloned feet clutching the leather that padded his shoulder. Smiling at the sound, he reached up with his free hand to caress Brageet’s breast feathers. She’d had a long night of hunting; thus she’d spend all day digesting and sleeping happily in his office while he worked. “Brageet won’t be much company…I suspect she’ll sleep the day away…” He said with a small smile and a glance at Elohari.
The two walked gracefully down the hall, very obvious with their affection toward one another. It was casual but very natural, as if they were meant together. Swaying along, she felt his eyes on her, turning her cheek toward him, his smile spread to her. He wore a delightful smile, it brought a pink to his cheeks so faint only she could see. Compared to his stern look, it was a gifted and gentle present, to which she always cherished. "If that is your wish, I shall oblige." Elohari spoke warmly, a soft, subtle smile to her cheek.
"I would very much like to pester you, like I had before." Elohari's soft smile spread to a bright one, chuckling at their past relation. She had to wonder if he ever thought of her as odd or annoying. Her long drawn out words, slow movements, and interesting choice of words. Many thought her odd, perhaps he did at once before. Her eyes fluttered to his beautiful beast, perched against his adjacent shoulder. The creature was a magnificent thing, yet ever adorable. She was gald Gannon didn't force her awake, treat her like a pet. Brageet was a companion, and could not be contained. Gannon didn't stop that.
"Hmmm. Staying in bed sounds delightful.." Elohari would hum in response, the two nearing Gannons office. "After the Gala, perhaps we should do just that. A whole day... simply enjoying the comfort of home.. How does that sound?" Elohari arched a brow, curiously glancing his way.
Jesse Randall ~ Adjoining Corridors to the Couryard (Interior) ~
Jesse happily accepted Fidal's hug - she always liked visiting her Bun-Bun-Buddy and to hear he was actually seeking her out she would tilt her head curiously before her eyes lit up in amazement, "Oh! Is that?!" She reached out, running her hand along the surface before her mouth opened slightly, "You found a copy?" it was pristine to the touch - carefully cared for and she looked at him with awe, then broke into a grin, "That's So...Wow!" Somewhat at a loss for words, but so happy that he'd taken the time to bring it to her, she carefully took the tome and then hugged him tightly, "I should find you some gold for it," breaking from the hug she started to look around the pouches on her belt before realising she must have left her money behind as she had her main interest set on her lessons that day... "Rats...!"
Lifting her eyes to her friend, she considered handing the book back, but an idea crept into her mind and her frown turned into a foxy grin - if only for a moment, "I'm really sorry Fidal, I haven't got any gold on me at the moment...but, if you like, I can try and make you a deal?" it wasn't like the Fennec Child to bargain for things and she felt a little naughty for thinking of such, but with nothing else to offer at the time and the fact she wanted soo much to find out what happened next, it was worth a shot,
"The Academy is holding a Gala tonight...and, well," how was she going to do this? Would Fidal even be allowed to attend? Not being an actual member of the Academy himself, who was to say they wouldn't be turned away? "I don't know if we'd be allowed, but I was thinking..." her ears would flick outward and she'd perhaps blush a little, "Would you be my Plus One?" it wouldn't pay for the book, she knew that, but if he accepted, she could bring the gold down with her and pay him what she owed and if they were allowed to attend, perhaps treat him as well? "I know it's perhaps not the right way to go around things, but you've been such a good friend to me and whilst I've got the chance, I'd really like to pay you back for everything you've done for me, y'know?" She didn't know how he'd react to her proposition, but even if he turned her down, she would still intend on paying him back for the book - it was the least she could do for him.

Ivar had found out that he could fire weaker bolts more times than the more powerful ones. These weaker bolts emited more shockwave than heat making them perfect for non-leathal shots. Ivar knew the guy would not get too hurt by his suprise attack. All he was worried about was if the guy would be able to retaliate. Luckily for him, Vikraahm could not do much as Ivar ran pas the boy to steal the majority of his papers. Ivar knew he would not get all of them which he was fine with. What he was not fine with was the fact that when he looked down, he could see that he still did not have enough papers to beat Nanashi. "Tsch" Ivar glared down at his hand disappointed with his catch. He could hear the teacher calling off the lesson as there was another explosion that occured while Ivar was busy with his own plan. He looked round to see that quite a few students had over-done it and had injured themselves in the process of collecting simple papers. Ivar rolled his eyes as he walked away from where he stood. He noticed that Vikraahm seemed to be worried about his Turban. Maybe it meant something to him, maybe he was worried that Ivar took all of his papers. Ivar wasn't that interested in the boy's head garments and more abut any addition injuries that he might of caused. He walked upto the boy who had started to walk again. "Sorry about that, maybe next time you might want to stay on guard, in a real battle, you could of wound up dead," he spoke in a blunt tone but he was coming from a place of concern. He watched what Vikraahm had done and it was wreckless. "You have more power than you realise but if you are going to become any kind of warrior, you must learn to think before you act," he said before walking off to check up on the others. After he made sure Tala and Nanashi were ok, he decided to head back to his dorm. His jacket was all tattered and he was starting to get cold. "Maybe a nice cup of earl grey will lighten up this dreadful day," he said to himself before strolling away.
Fidal stood quietly as the Fennec gently took the book as if being jandhanded ed a great treasure. He loved her appreciation for books. Not many young people had it. When she panicked trying to find gold to pay him, he chuckled.
He never expected her to offer what she did, though. He would have accepted a hug. No, she offered something he considered to be a bit more pricey. An invitation to go to tonight's Gala. He could feel his heart nearly skip a beat. His favorite little fox asked him on what was essentially a date. True, it was an innocent one between friends, but she reminded him of his sister, and she was just so adorable.
He placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a big grin. "I would be foolish to turn down such an offer. Any time with you is easily worth a book or ten." He then turned her towards her class and gave her a gentle shove.
"Now, I unfortunatly took up way too much of your class time and now I have a great night to prepare for. I will see you later, Miss Jesse." With that, he bowed to her and went off to finish the store day and ready himself. His tail flickering with each step as he struggled to contain his happiness.
Jesse's grin widened as she caught Gin's smile - it was only a little one but it was there and it made her happy to think she might just have brightened his day up a little.
It made her even happier when the Wolf agreed to a race - but Jesse understood completely when he said about waiting until they had made it outside - Where she had a clear advantage in her smaller form and could quite nimbly slip between others with little impact., Gin was larger and more likely to collide with passers by...and that wouldn't be very good.
"Tag...? Oh!" With a playful 'Boop' to the nose, Jesse would be momentarily caught unawares but it didn't take long before her Foxy Grin would spread across her face "You're on!" With a Yip and a swish of her long tail, she would give chase, vaulting up onto the stone wall of the fountain before making a leap for the Wolf as he passed her by - She missed, but only by a hair's breath!
It was great to hear Gin laugh, but Jesse was enjoying herself far too much to want to draw attention to it. She would scamper around the courtyard with him for a minute or two before changing her direction, hoping to catch him out on the return.
