Lauthisen
The Hatching had begun in earnest, and Lauthisen took note of the brown, blue, and bronze with a keen eye. Huh. A strong rivalry already, and soon it escalated with the brown finally having enough of his brother. Lauthisen kept a careful eye on them both, not about to be dragged into the middle of a fight with those sharp claws and teeth. Ah--but he almost missed the little green head that poked up from an egg. The first green, huh?
The blue had managed to pick himself up, and was beginning to stumble forth with real enthusiasm. Even Lauthisen couldn't hide a smile as he gingerly stepped out of the dragonet's way. Ah, but the Snowman egg was finally hatched.... and what a frightened little blue it was!
--
Dehka
A bronze... He snuck a glance at both Dorok and Orri, knowing they both had aspirations to be bronzeriders at High Reaches. Was this the dragon for them? Or maybe the confident brown? "Oh, look--" He focused on the green, warmed by her cheerful bugling. Welcome, little one! Even if her brothers seemed to be squaring up and...
The brown charged, and Dehka winced but held his ground. It seemed like the two were going to really start going at it...
He caught sight of the newly hatched blue and winced again, his heart immediately going out to the little thing. Poor baby...
--
Chakuri
Kahbrohm's experience was shining here, and Chakuri nodded to herself with a thoughtful frown. If that dragonet had wanted to hurt the boy, he easily could have. That bronze though... "I can see a resemblance," She said, only half joking. They both were so sure of themselves, weren't they? No wonder Kahbrohm liked him. "Oh, but look at the green!" She was so cute...
A fight was the last thing she expected though, and Chakuri's eyes widened with surprise. She knew better than to interfere, but wow! As cute as they were, they were so strong for being just hatched!
Meanwhile, the first blue managed to seem to get up to his feet... and was really beginning to walk! "Look at him go!" She crowed, delighted with the little one's success. Of course, seeing his blue brother hatched and practically cower on the sands took the wind right out of her sails. Oh, no! Look how upset he was...

Tuelarua - HR Candidate, She/Her/Hers
Just as it had before, once the eggs began to hatch, they did so rapidly. Tuelarua was delighted that Holly blue was up on his feet, and finding how fast they could go! Sweet darling warmed her heart, but with him being on his feet, she turned her attention elsewhere. Lump of Coal was a bronze, and though she hadn’t touched his egg, what she heard had seemed like he was a true traditional bronze. Though his fight with Starry Night brown was worrying. Certainly they would figure themselves out.. Correct?
Snowman hatched a terrified little blue, and her heart went out to the little darling. It would be okay, little one! Blue Ornament was a little green. Ohh, they were darling, and she couldn’t help but try to keep track ---
Santa Egg caught her attention as the crack widened. Hello little one.
-----------
Ahula - HR Candidate - She/Her/Hers
The bump from Holly Blue had Ahula staggering, for she had little to no weight on her and even the weight of a dragon baby could buoy her around. She giggled, wishing the little blue well as he ran past, and braced both herself and Urzoh slightly. “He’s certainly spirited, mm?”

Soui
Should she have offered to be down with the healers? Would they have even allowed her? Soui leaned forward where she sat in the stands, her knuckles white with how hard her hands were clutched together. Fighting dragonets meant the babies would get hurt and she didn't know anything about dragonhealing, but then the sweet first blue was walking into the candidates and she did know about cuts and bruises and how to help with that. Museth, should I have asked to be down there? She sent a feeler out to her beloved white, who sent a mental shake of the head back.
Perhaps next time. We're are still fresh from Weyrlinghood, and you haven't been fully studying healing, yes? Even though we work during your breaks there is a difference here. We should trust the healers for now, but asking later wouldn't hurt. Museth could feel the unease and disappointment from Soui but didn't press on it more. She'd made up her mind when she first said no and there would be no changing it. Just keep thinking good thoughts for your friends, and if you really want to help it can be in the next few sevendays.
Soui softly agreed and relaxed her hands a bit to allow color back into her knuckles. With the way she'd been squeezing there was no doubt she'd have fingernail bruises tomorrow. "Dehka, Mr. Orri. Please be safe." The two had gathered together again but this time!!! This time!! She hoped they both walked away as riders. Also safe and sound.
Meanwhile, Museth went to mental return the soft caress of her cousin. It was wonderful to see the green in such lovely spirits among family and friends.

R'ose
R'ose sort of wished he'd brought a snack to this early morning adventure. Dragonets were fighting on the sands and while no ichor had been fully spilled it was certain to come. He hoped it would be only a little and once more was ridiculously thankful that his own Sawi had been nothing but a lamb at her own. Actually, that whole beach clutch had been nothing but peaceful. Maybe it'd been because of the location?
Perhaps he needed to suggest more clutches on beaches on random islands. Also no touchings, at least not from the Weyrs who end up actually standing for Impression.

Ilzerin - he/him
And here they went. Ilzerin watched with great interest as brown and bronze collided: not a morbid interest, as he certainly took no pleasure in watching them fight, but he did want to know the outcome. Though the brown disliked him, he wished him no ill, but he did have a certain appreciation for such an excellent, confident bronze. On the other hand, he respected the brown's willingness to fight. So he couldn't rightly say that he had a favorite, which was just as well. Choosing sides or groveling wouldn't get him any closer to having a dragon of his own: either he belonged to one or he didn't, no matter what he did. Maybe that bronze - but how many boys on the Sands entertained that possibility just now? - maybe one of the blues, maybe the green, maybe one as yet unhatched. Maybe none of them. Very definitely not the brown, as his distaste had already been made clear.
Whatever happened, there was little he could do but wait and watch.

Urzoh - [she/her] - HR
Lump of Coal’s brusque manner with her in the shell made sense. Why waste time on a candidate that wasn’t meant for you? She watched the bronze hatch, gleaming and full of independence. A blue, green, brown, and bronze - a beautiful melody of colors on the sands. She understood the need to fight and prove oneself. To make sure to have the best. But they were so young! Oh, she hoped that any blows that happened were ones that were easily healed.
She was pulled from her thoughts by Holly Blue, getting bumped heavily. Urzoh kept herself steady on her feet with some effort. “You’re doing great little one!” she said quietly enough for Ahula to hear and for the blue making their way through the crowd. There was certainly strength to them! Urzoh’s heart ached for the tiny Snowman dragon hiding, they looked terrified! Hopefully there was a nice quiet lull for them to feel confident emerging in.
=== Rahmsii - [he/him] - HR
Rahmsii moved a little more in front of the throng of candidates he was with. The squabble of dragons, no matter what over - had the sharpness of claws and teeth. He didn’t want anyone to get injured, not if he could be a large padding of cushion anyway. He watched the newborns barrel and posture. Hopefully they’d sort it out soon. Brother’s seemed meant to squabble sometimes. His eyes caught on a little green head peeking from her shell, how darling.
The blue trapezing the sands seemed to be in fine spirits - and learning how to use their legs! The other blue on the sands, oh poor sweetling! His egg to pieces around him! And before they were even ready to be born. They would find their’s soon and be far away from fighting siblings hopefully soon.

Dorok
A blue. A scared little blue. Dorok inhaled sharply as Snowman hatched. I am sorry I scared you, little one, he offered what comfort he could to the little blue, his attention turned between it, and his brother that was now running freely through the candidates as he got his legs beneath him.
"I want it to impress fast," he admitted, mostly out of a selfish desire to see the poor frightened thing ushered into the arms of someone who would comfort it and offer it protection from all of this complicated revelry that the rest of them would wait through. Not that he didn't see a point in letting the little ones venture and feel out their new bodies before making that lifelong connection.
-----
Kahbrohm
"Of course you do," he grinned down at Chakuri, crossing his arms across his chest as the brown and bronze began to duke it out. Though he did look towards the green that Chakuri seemed to coo over for a moment. Hmmm....admittedly, it seemed to be sweeter than would want him. So he turned his attention back to the fighting siblings...and also making sure he and Chakuri stayed out of the way of the clumsily running little Holly blue.
Snowman blue got his own long look, but then...it was back to watching teeth and claws between brothers.
-----
Juhvek
"That's a sweet little green," Juhvek agreed, turning a cautious eye on the fighting brothers and making a point to linger just a bit more protectively over the trio of girls he stood with. If it got closer, he'd move them all farther away - simple as that.
And then there was the little blue that was running through their ranks - "Careful of him. Might bump you a bit if you don't," he warned gently. There was no reason they should worry about being hurt by that one, though. It didn't look malicious towards the others it was fumbling over.
-----
Kinyegele
"Oh no, that little boy..." Kinye's heart went out to the scared little blue, then she looked to the newly hatched and cheerful little green - I think your brother could use some of your cheer, sweet one. Think you can help? she wasn't even sure she could be heard, but she'd will someone to comfort that little sweetheart.
"Maybe eventually. Sometimes you gotta fight. But they'll figure it out," she hoped.

Helane never did sleep too deeply but even that didn't stop her from being surprised out of sleep by her flit humming in her ear, she still couldn't believe she'd been lucky enough to get the calm little blue, right now though she felt less than lucky at being woken up and it took her a minute, and the sight of other candidates jumping out of bed, to realise what was happening. OH!... oh "aaaaah OH MY" she cried, "THE EGGS..... GUYS WAKE UP, THE EGGS ARE HATCHING" she yelled, any candidates still sleeping wouldn't stay that way for long as she virtually vibrated out of bed, throwing off her sleeping clothes, roughly tying her hair up and out of her face, into a messy ponytail, she could have taken more time to look presentable, but nah.. not Helane, she donned the candidate robes and filed out behind the other candidates, not quite at the very back but close enough. She bowed to the queen, the clutch father and their riders as she entered the Sands, beaming a smile, looking crazier than ever since she'd been roused from sleep. She watched as eggs rocked, a brown hatched first, then a blue, then a bronze and a green... oh no wait, the brown and the bronze were going to fight? She totally missed the blue coming towards her, she was focused on the other boys, when she was crashed into and she tumbled to the sands. "OUCH" she said, looking up, realising it had been a dragon and clamped her hand over her mouth. "Sorry" she said a little quieter, trying hard to lower her volume around the dragon babies. She got up and saw another egg hatch, well less hatch.. more... it's shell just kind of .. crumbled away. Another blue... she really hoped the brown and the bronze didn't get TOO hurt since they were so determined to fight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bekah hadn't actually been asleep at the time of the hatching, she'd been going through training and was on 'night shifts' at the time, checking on people in the infirmary overnight, making sure their needs were met and they were cared for medically, The flits who kept her company clueing her into the eggs hatching just seconds before healers started waking and gathering to prepare for the injuries that came with a Hatching. Bekah joined the healers as they filed out to the area set aside for the healers. She checked supplies while eggs hatched, not really paying too much attention sadly, until there were murmurs about a Brown and a Bronze starting to cause trouble. So far there were no serious injuries, or anything that needed her for, so she turned and watched a little. Oh dear, she hated to see dragons get hurt.
