voices of fear
voices of despair
voices of hopelessness
is all i hear
voices of death
and of darkness
are not new 2 me
i hear things
i see things
i wish i could forget
but i'll face them if i can
smiling when needed
and holding out my hand
in time i hope you'll take it
as we'll walk hand in hand
though darkness making it light again

hmmm... My name is Psychotic__GAL (or rather "Brooke") I've loved to write since... well... around the eighth grade (I'm in 11th now) when I wrote my first poem titled "War" (Creative title... I know... blaugh ). My big poet influences were/are Emily Dickenson, Edger Allen Poe and my sister in law and my brother. Lemme see.. what else should I say? Oh! I just figured out I was asked to join this guild and I accepted a while ago... Kinda funny really... lol. And I'm not only a poet but a fiction writer as well... I'm trying to write something at the moment actually. anyway..on with the poem all ready!
(It's an "I Am" Poem I had to write a couple years back for a class.)

Brooke

Blowing Wind
I am a blowing wind
I wonder when my journey will end
I hear your hair whipping 'round
I see everything and everybody.
I want to sing
I am a blowing wind

I pretend to dance among the trees.
I feel the etching loneliness
I touch the sea foam on the beach
I worry this may be the end of me.
I cry when pollution corrupts me
I am a blowing wind.

I understand the native tongues
I say what is to be done
I dream to tame the cursing sea
I try with all I am to be seen
I hope to be always free
I am a blowing wind.

I think the beginning words may be a bit overused. Not that they are in your poem... but in a lot of those types of poems people tend to use those words. Other than that, I really like how you switched it. 3nodding I like the chance of hope (That's actually my profile's theme at the moment)

Nothing inspired this really, it is a synopsis for a novel I am writing, I just felt like writing it to give a little taste of it.

how long have you been working on it? Because I've been writing my novel for like three years now... xp people were right in saying books take a while to write

A few months...but I rarely work on it, I do sketches too...in fact, I have a sketch of Arc after the transformation...and I'm almost done with one of him before

For Shadow and everyone else who wishes to know, round-robin is just where you start somthing and then hand it off to the next person, so round robin writing, is where we get a line of people choose somone to start a story and hen hand it back through each person, adding a little more each time.

I love writing those, I do that all the time with my friends.
