The horse staggered as the blade struck, then screamed as not just one but both of its legs were severed from its body nearly at the hip. The scythe however found more than just horse meat as it cut though, taking the rider's ((DB 3)) leg off at the knee as well.
Stunned, both rider and horse fell to the ground, the horse pinning the Terrestrial beneath it as his companions turned to see what had happened.

[OOC]The Clinching Speed of the chain is 6, so I believe I'm back up at Tick 9.[/OOC]
Dodge:
DEX: 4 DOD: 4 DV MOD: -1
4+4-1 = 7.
Successes: 3.
Tick 3: Nix attempted to sidestep the woman's blow but to no avail, she still caught him as he did.
[OOC]Nix's Bashing Soak is 5 just like his Lethal soak, for reference. ^__^
...wait, have I been doing this wrong? I was just reading in the book, and I suppose my dodge should be 5 because it's ([DEX+DOD+ESS+DV MOD]%2) sweatdrop Either way I didn't make it and got the same value, but it seems I have been rolling wrong.[/OOC]

((I don't happen to know what you did wrong, but you don't roll for dodge. it's a fixed number the attackers roll against. You've your pary defense and your dodge defense, and the book should tell you how to get thoses. both are at -1 right now cause of your attack, but that's your only penalty at the moment, unless you've wound penalties, which also lower your DV. I'll tell you if special situations will penalize you further, but for future referance, attacking in general will always lower your DV by one))
((also, this means that the woman misses you by almost nothing, as she has to beat your dodge of 5. Also, unless your parry DV is 6 or higher, the chain dude is gonna hit you too))

[OOC]Okies. I really wasn't sure about the dodge at all. xd I thought you did opposing rolls or something. xd
My Parry will be the same as dodge when attacking, but since I attempted a clinch my parry is actually 4. sweatdrop So yeah, he's going to hit me. ninja I believe I get the system, now -- guess I just misread, heh. Bashing soak is still 5. razz [/OOC]

The ball at the end of the chain smacked into Nix's shoulder, but experiance had warned the young solar that he couldn't get out of the way, so as it struck, he rolled with the blow, shrugging off it's impact. ((0 damage to Nix))
Tick 7 Ashura blinked as the rider went down screaming, "Nice hit Garrison. I was wondering where you'd run off to." Her sword came back up in an arc as the rider desperatly tried to dive from his horse, realizing he had no chance of defending himself against her speed while still on horse back, but again the tip of her blade found a gap in the mans armor, spearing his ankle before disappearing over the far side of his horse.
Tick 8 The monk woman ((DB 6)) didn't appear to notice the screams behind her, her face a set expresion of determined rage. Wisps of blue floated around her and a howl of wind screached from her fists as she rained blows down upon Nix. The first he easily side stepped, as he did the second, twin crashes of rubble sounding behind him. The third however, caught him in the stomache, tossing him into the air. Out of her reach, it seemed he should have been safe for the moment, but still firmly affixed to the ground, she extended her arm to strike again, and an invisible fist struck him a second time, tossing him higher. Blood began to tear from her eyes, and she let out a pained gasp as let out a final blow, again tossing the solar even higher into the air, before dropping to one knee, gasping and cradeling her sides. ((4 bashing Nix. As I now know your soaks and DV's, enemy actions can go faster. If you wish to use a different DV though (I used your higher dodge here) or in the future you have some special way you wish to dodge, like the guy diving off his horse eariler, speak up and I'll change it))
The Dragon Blood under the horse ((DB3)) quieted his screams, and with a look of purest venom, extended his hands towards Garison, fireing two jagged shards of obsidian from his palms, both the length of a mans fore arm. The first was aimed too high, and Garrison ducked it with ease. The second struck true, but shattered on his buff jacket, sending bits of glass glittering through the air before dissolving back into wisps of essence. ((0 damage to Garrison))
((DB 2)) Rolling into a crouch, the green warrior extended his palm and fired a fist sized thorn at Ashura between his horses legs, almost catching her off guard and drawing a line of blood along her bare leg.
Tick 9 ((Nix first. barring charms or a stunt, your back on the ground at tick 10))

[OOC]Sorry it took so long. Oh, I've got a question! When it comes to overcoming negatives of injury penalties, could I add my Pain Tolerance specialty to my regular dice. That is, for this example, I have -2 dice modifier b ecause of penalties. Could I add my die from Pain Tolerance into my roll as well? Just a question -- if I can't use it I can't use it. biggrin Just thought I'd ask. ^__^ [/OOC]
Tick 9: As Nix was propelled into the air by the invisible fists, some blood trailed out of his mouth and down the corners of his lips, proving his own mortality. Even as he was brought up by the invisible fists, however, he allowed the full length of his chain to unravel around him.
Still loosely orbitted by his chain, Nix spun and controlled his ascent, keeping his feet straight toward the nearby alley wall. Even as his feet touched the surface of the wall a purple fire seemed to explode around him and a ghostly white circle burned into his forehead, betraying his being one of the Unconquered Sun's Chosen just as the blood had betrayed his mortality. Nix gave his chain one last push, propelling it higher above him, somewhat, as he began to run up the wall toward it, sliding under it with, with a half-circle spin, he grasped the chain again and pulled the center of it toward his chest. This tug sent the weights on either end of the chain into two conflicting paths toward the monk, converging where she knelt.
[OOC]I'm using a stunt and a charm. I'm pretty much maneuvering myself in the air, followed by an expenditure of 4 motes of Peripheral Essence (dropping me from 31 to 27) to use the Spider-Foot Style (instantaneous, scene) to run across the vertical surface of the wall easily and then using the Fighting Chain's rating of 2 to use both balls and attack twice (silmutaneously within the context of the scene). Since your guy is using a chain, I'll assume you know the values for the chain when attacking. ^__^[/OOC]

((The chain DB's is an artifact actually, with special numbers for its stats.
Your attacking twice, so you get to make two attack rolls here under multiple action penalties. Your first attack is at a penalty of your total number of attacks, the second, is penalized that number +1, so your first at -2 dice, and the second is at -3 dice.
For your stunt though, you get +2 dice to your initial action, making the penalties -0, then -1.
As for your pain resistance, when you've some time to rest and focus, you can roll your specialty to try and shake off some of the wound penalties for some focused activities, (like lock picking for example) but not in combat, as that's too powerful an ability without a charm.))

The monk saw the attacks comming, and raised her arms to block, but she was still sluggish from her exertions and unable to ward off either of the attacks.
((hit with 1 success each))
Tick 9
Ashura whirled away from her current opponent trusting Garrison to deal with him soon enough. Two to one were not odds se would let any ally face when their opponents were members of the hunt, even if they were rather brash. Almost inept, really. Why hadn't they taken the time to activate their support charms before beginning the assault? Feet barely touching the ground, her daiklave thrust towards the back of the chain wielder even as he guided his weapon towards the Wretched now perched on the side of the grieviously injured building across from the inn. The unsuspecting Terrestrial gasped as Ashura's blade shattered the links in his chain mail and drove it's way between his ribs, but for all her speed, she was too slow, and the chain struck Nix between his shoulders. ((one bashing damage Nix))
Tick 10 - NOBODY! ^_^
Tick 11 - Ashura's blade twisted free from her opponent as e turned to face her, but even before his turn was complete she was stiking once more. "You won't catch me lacking again, child." He snarled as his chain deflected her flurry of strikes except for a grazing blow to his arm, though just barely. ((stupid dice rolled quite possibly the worst flurry ever *glares*))
Tick 12 - Garrison up ^_^

Tick 12: Calmly looking at the pinned horseman while switching blade hands, Garrison prepares for a head chopping jump to another opponent. He lunges forward making sure that the blade of the scythe is pointing at the ground. And then with a powerful leap forward he slices at the pinned horseman's neck.
((Off of eight dice I got five for my hit. I took a minus two for striking twice.)
Aiming himself at the soldier that his companion Ashura was fighting seconds before. He slashed the scythe blade up at the soldier as he made contact.
((Of of seven dice this time, I got only three.))

Tick twelve
With a screach of metal on stone, Garrison's blade was knocked askew from it's intended first strike, and threw the second blow off enough that the Terrestrial was able to easily roll aside.
The Leader in white jade plate had stepped forward to save his subbordinate from an untimely beheading. "Hold!" he shouted to the group as a whole, experianced command resonating in his voice, and instantly the group fell back into defensive postures, halting their current assault.
"Your information was lacking, Emeron. I do believe this is a first." He gestured to the ragged troops with his giant sword using only one hand as he addressed the immaculate.
"You can be certain that I'll convey our combined displeasure at the very least." He nearly spat the words out, though his face showed no displeasure.
"Anathema." The plate armored terrestrial spoke once more, "While appealing to your humanity is almost certainly out of the question, I'm afraid I've little other choice. Together you've bested our soldiers. I now ask you give them a repreive they've earned. We," he gestured to the monk, "shall be your opponents now."

((I'm not sure if Bish has looked at this, but if you're checking back here, Yoko has given me permission to say that we can now act freely battle with our current opponant is over and about to be rejoined with these two bozos.))
Garrison staggerd from the unsaticfying double miss, and turned to look at the man who addressed them. He gave an appraising stare, he was the first to speak ((I love being the first poster, for once)).
"I'm sure we'd be happy to continue murdering your goons. I'm also sure that this one here would be happy for it too, what do you say I just..." He walked over to the man pinned by his horse reaping his scythe over his head, aiming for a spot just on the other side of the soldier's neck with the intent of dragging the blade across and putting him out of his misery..
