 Joshua perked up at the mention of more. "I'd love to meet more! If you don't mind, that is." He suddenly realized that he might be causing a burden for Katalina. He was asking a lot of her after all. He could feel the sand under his feet now. They were drawing close to shore. Joshua continued on only enough that he could stand properly. He didn't want to beach the mermaid after all.

"So be it, then," said Katalina. "Tomorrow we'll go. I'll be waiting for you tomorrow morning," she added with a slight smile. She gave the slightest of stretches, and turned towards the coral. "I wouldn't have suggested it if I minded, Joshua," she called over her shoulder with a smile.
Then she went off into the water, towards the coral where she normally slept.

Aoife was staring at a piece of coral. It had been strange staying here. It seemed that it was already nestled into, but she ignored the signs and stayed anyways.

Joey stared at the ceiling of the cabin, hammock swaying slightly. He heard splashes outside and wondered if it was Katalina and Joshua. He sighed and didn't bother checking.

Joshua gave a final wave to Katalina before trudging up the beach. Having been in the water all day, his limbs now felt weighted down with lead. Glancing around, he idely wondered where Joey and Lucian had disappeared to. His feet dragging, Joshua made it to the area he called his camp. The events of the day had caught up with him now and he was slow to change out of his wet gear and into clothes for the night. That done, he made his way over to his bed and flopped down. Joshua was asleep the instant his head hit the pillow.

Katalina's telepathic voice singsonged to Joshua as he fell asleep. Sleep well, Joshua, because tomorrow we go farther afield.
Smiling to herself, she swam down into the coral, curled herself around a large rock, and fell into the sort of dreamy half-sleep that was all she ever allowed herself.

Joshua groaned and rolled over. 'That didn't help at all.' He thought, as a beam of light fell on his face. He tried to block the light, with only minimal success. A thought struck him like lightening. 'Katalina's got more for me to meet!' Suddenly, Joshua was wide awake and getting ready. He was quickly dressed. Gathering his gear, he made his way to the beach. That was where the mermaid would meet him. Joshua scanned the calm waters, realizing he didn't know how early Katalina rose. Shrugging, he sat on the sand soaking up the suns rays while he waited.

Katalina stirred. Something. She had something she meant to do today.
Then it clicked in her mind. Joshua.
She was taking him to see a few more folk today. It was a little worrying - some weren't the kindest creatures - but she thought he could handle himself.
Rising to the surface, she looked towards the shore. She was hardly surprised to see him there, already awake and waiting for her. "Joshua," she singsonged, noticing how he was just relaxing on the sand, "changed your mind, have you? Decided not to come after all?"
Grinning, she swam closer.

Aoife hadn't slept at all. She'd been up for a while now and was skimming the water. She knew Joey had wanted to introduce her to his friend..Joshua? She thought that was right but she wasn't sure. She poked her head out of the surface. She saw a boy on the sand and a ..meremaid? in the water. She wasn't sure if she should approach or not.
