Aha! Thread! The wind was different now in this third hour, and though it seemed more blustery above, similarly less thread had made it down to their level...at least that Uridith had seen. It was all too easy to pull alongside it, effortlessly flaming it to nothing. There had also been some rather bad injuries in the first two hours. Hopefully this meant there would be less of them now.

Back down in the relative calm of the Weyrling airspace, Peresa and Shoggoth both took a moment to look up. Look up at the dragons wheeling and flaming, swirling and fighting. It was horrible. And beautiful. Would that their home Hold had been under High Reaches' arm of protection. How different life would have been then. A surge of white-hot anger from the green between her knees took the woman's breath away. You are MINE. The green hissed, the very thought of a world where impression (and all the prior tragedy that had made her rider so appealing to her) had not happened anathema. I know...It can't be changed now. Her thoughts balmed the fierce thing—for all the pain, she'd found a true kindred spirit in her dragon. One that would, and could never leave her. Soon enough they would be up there, fighting to spare others their own fate. Which wing? Hopefully the same one Venin was put in. She would not be parted from her sister, if it could be helped.

They had just taken to wing. The large Green roared in ot the sky with a vengeance, letting out a high keen as she shot towards Burning Aces. Once they were on wing, Araeth was quick to shoot a flame at a clump of thread that was nearing a wingmate. Like hell she was going to let any Thread hit another.
