Spanish would be cool. It'd be the most useful, after French, certainly. I can't roll my Rs, though, so that would probably be an issue. sweatdrop
Anise: Woo French! Je l' heart !

I only know a few words in Spanish, and I'm sure I butcher the prononciation. No one speaks it here. sweatdrop I'd imagine it's about as common in Eastern Canada as French is in California.

It's weird, how many words are so similar in Spanish, Italian and French...and then you have words like "thank you"....Gracias, grazi and...merci. confused Yeah, totally see the resemblence there.

I think there are so many similarities because they are all Latin based languages... I could be wrong though

Yeah, I believe they're the "Romance" languages. Not "romance" as in lovey-dovey (although the accents are cute), but some relation to Rome or Romans...? I don't really remember.
I assume that there are different types of Spanish, right? I mean, Spanish from Spain, Spanish from Mexico, etc. That's how it is with French, at least. sweatdrop The language my boyfriend speaks is so different from what they speak in Paris that there's a serious communication barrier.
