"No offense Adrian, but at the moment I'm really hoping whatever it is, it's normal. At least until it's out of my body." Amaya muttered. She did not want anything with horns or wings or anything out of the ordinary on her kid while it was inside her. She remembered her pregnancy with Calista, and while she was just a fetus, she was still kicking Amaya any chance she got. She didn't want a horn jabbing her in the kidneys.

"You can be excited. I'm just hoping I don't get a horn to the kidney or anything." She told him with a smile. "Calista kicking me twenty four seven was painful enough." Amaya sighed, shaking her head slightly.

"Never know with mutates." Amaya said with a shrug. "I saw a few that were obvious right away when we were down there. And this one's parents are two mutates too." She sighed.

"Well, again, there's not even any guarantee how it'll turn out. Like you had said before, Calista's powers didn't really come from you or her dad, so it seems unlikely that whatever mutation the baby has will resemble our own." Adrian pointed out.

"Well now that just makes me worry all over again." She sighed as they brought the food. Amaya started in her dinner as she reflected on it. "Now I remember the worry. Fantastic." She chuckled, shaking her head.

"Yes, those pesky mutate genes. Never has the outcome of a pregnancy been so random." Adrian said with a slight sigh as he started in on his meal. "But remember, no more arena fighting for the kid to get dragged into, and you're not a single parent this time. You're welcome to worry, just not as much as before."

"Not yet at least. So far the whole issue is registering mutates and finding more rings." Amaya said. She shook her head, finishing up her dinner as one hand unconsciously traveled to her stomach. "You never think about all the dangers until you've got a kid on the way." The woman murmured.
