Joey laughed and took another bite. "I have another if you would like one." He said in between bites. "An apple in the morning...to me, there is nothing better." He chuckled and swallowed.

Aoife shook her head. "I don't eat much." She ate only when she absolutely needed too.

Joey finished the apple. "Oh, I eat three meals a day in order to stay healthy. How often do you eat?" He threw the apple core into the woods and turned to Aoife, smiling.

 Joshua nodded. "Okay." He murmured. It sorta made sense, he supposed. He watched as Korai left the cave. 'Maybe that's a good idea. She was the one who seemed the sanest.' He wasn't sure he trusted Narcis and the other female seemed too keen on humans equal food thought. "Katalina?" Joshua asked, glancing around. "I-I think I'm done here."

Aoife frowned at that. "I eat once or twice...every-" She stumbled over her words. Then lifted her hand indicating the five fingers. "Five days?" She asked for conformation.

Joey's eyebrows rose. "Every 5 days? Wow. I know I would be screwed if I couldn't eat everyday. I love food." He laughed.

Katalina nodded. "All right," she said agreeably. She looked a little relieved. She gestured that he should go ahead of her, and moved behind him a bit in order to go faster.
"Cousin," said Narcis abruptly, making her turn. He added several rapid sentences in his own tongue. Frowning, Katalina listened, then shook her head with a response that sounded partly sad, partly irritable. The conversation continued for a few minutes. Finally Katalina seemed to put an end to it, replying, "Khhrin. Khhrin."
Narcis waved a hand vaguely, and drew himself back up onto the rocks. Riiya gave a wicked little grin to Joshua before calling to Katalina, "Feel free to bring us another one at any time, cousin."

Joey shrugged. "Some people don't eat enough, some people eat too much. A human needs to eat at least two meals a day to stay healthy and, at most, three meals. Breakfast in the morning, lunch at noon, and dinner at night." He grinned and chuckled.

Joshua glance curiously at Katalina but held his tongue. He would wait until they weren't in a cave with the creepy sirens. Casting one last glance at the sirens, he turned and made his way out of the cave and into the open waters. There, he had to wait for the mermaid, as Joshua had no idea of their next destination. 'I'll ask when we're well away from them. I wonder why they wouldn't speak so I could understand....' His thoughts considered and scrapped several suggestions as he waited for Katalina.

Joey laughed and patted his stomach. "Well, I find it to be easy. There are all kinds of foods to eat. My favorites are always the simplest." He pulled out a small, waterproof bag of chocolate and peanutbutter cookies (yes, he hid some from Lucian). He opened the bag and popped one in his mouth.
