Kaistern kept reading the books for some time, the stack of unread slowly turning into a stack of read. Balthazar had tried to fight off boredom by telling himself this was for Ophelia, but finally gave in to it. He glanced down at Ophelia wondering how she was holding up with all of this.

Ophelia looked determined, jotting down notes and potential leads whenever she found them. She was observant in her research and actually seemed interested in some of what she read. In other words, she was doing the exact opposite of Balthazar.

Kaistern then turned to look out the window and saw the sun was starting to go down. "It's getting late." he said closing his book and setting it aside. "Why don't we call someone to bring dinner in and we can continue this later."

"If you'd like, certainly. Just let me save my spot." Ophelia reached over for a bookmark she kept on the end table near their bed, slipping it in before closing her book up for the moment being. "I think I've found quite a few leads to go on, however miniscule they might be. What about you two?"

((*le eye twitch* Roomie's alarm is going off again. And again she's not around to do anything about it. *le twitch le twitch* Why the ******** does it keep going off so late anyway?? It's nine o'clock at night!!))
"A few bits and pieces here, but nothing terribly groundbreaking. As for Balthazar..." Kaistern looked over at his other half, sound asleep and snoring with a book over his face as he lay on the other side of Ophelia.

{How inconsiderate of her. >.<}
Ophelia snickered quietly at Balthazar. She was by no means surprised to see him snoozing away like this. "Well, at least we tried. I'm sure we'll find something before too long. That, or I'll haunt those incompetent doctors for the rest of their days."

((My god, this same looping sound...I'd rather listen to 'It's a Small World' than listen to this anymore...That's seriously how obnoxious it is at this point. stressed ))
"Let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. You're not allowed to start talking about death and haunting people until we've really found ourselves at a loss." Kaistern said as he hugged her close for a moment before giving her a kiss on the cheek and wandering off to request their dinner be brought in.

{Yikes.}
"Oh fine." Ophelia gave a playful pout before watching Kaistern leave to get their food. Her snarking made the possibility easier, which was why she did it so often, but it was touching to know in a sense that Kaistern didn't want to hear it. Unlike her, it seemed like he wouldn't even entertain the thought.

Balthazar snorted a little as he finally woke up. "Wh...whoza wha...?" he felt around his head a bit, remembering the book spread over his face before setting it aside. "I really don't have the brain power for this kinda stuff..." he yawned as he scratched the back of his head.

{If you don't mind my asking, is it possible to request a room transfer in your college? I can't imagine you suffering through that all year.}
"Then I'll just do your share of the reading for you." Ophelia leaned over to peck Balthazar on the cheek. "In return, I hope you'll work extra hard with whatever preparations or spells we might need."

((Yeah, but there are a few problems with that. XP 1) The last possible date to do that may or may not have passed and 2) I'm not even sure I'd be able to with the way housing is basically at maximum capacity right now.))
"Of course I will! That's how this little dual-king stuff works after all; Kai does the thinky stuff while I play the muscle." Balthazar said snuggling a little closer.

{In that case, I offer you my condolences and I hope for the best for you. Not like that means much, but...yeah. >.<}
"I'm glad to hear that." Ophelia's small smile quickly grew into a large grin. "I promise you that if...er...when I get better I'll make everything up to you both."

((*sigh* Thanks. And sorry for being so ranty lately. This has just been the absolute worst start to the semester ever for me. >.<))
"You don't need to do that. You know we'd bend over backwards for you if we had to." Balthazar said with a smile.

{Don't worry about it. It's better to vent out your frustrations than to just bottle it up and damage yourself emotionally in the long run. 3nodding }
"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, Balthazar. Especially not when it means you can get laid or better." Ophelia tease/flirt/joked in reply.

"I never said I wouldn't accept, just that you didn't need to do it." Balthazar pointed out with a smirk.
