They returned to their position as Ly'bur kept an eye out for other dangerous thread groupings. Hinburath took a deep breath and unleash a flash of fire at his target. Most of it burned, but an errant gust of wind blew the rest back toward him. Hold on, he quickly informed his rider as he took a quick hop between. He returned a little higher up and watched the rest continue its descent.

Round 3: Day 2 Rolls
1. 14- You notice one of your wingriders is in need! Three clumps of thread are heading straight for them, while they are flaming down another impressive sheet. Ah, but your dragon is clever, and quick, and manages to flame all three down with short spits of fire. If a green, or blue rider, the thread turns to harmless ash, and both of you can continue on your way. [+3 Target Accuracy] If a brown, or bronze, you can't quite get over there in time. You call out to warn them, and manage to at least catch one clump while your wingmates blink Between. [+1 Target Accuracy]
2. 2- As you're flaming down some Thread, a gust of wind suddenly pushes the remaining cloud back at you and your dragon. You've no choice but to blink Between to avoid it, and appear higher up, missing the clump. The rest of the thread falls down towards the lower altitude. [+1 Between Accuracy]

Together they battled the Thread, keeping an eye out for more as well as for their wingmates. After scanning the area Thella glanced up just in time to see a massive clump of Thread heading right for them. Why did she always fail to look directly up?

Sensing something was wrong, Lireloth pulled off a fairly acrobatic move for a dragon of his size, giving a mighty beat of his wings while twisting so they could face the Thread as it fell, Flaming it into a ball of ash rather than silver death.

Back in formation everything seemed to be going well again. Ahlalei relaxed after the adrenaline rush of her dragon getting hurt. Only to be surprised as he jerked suddenly. Are you hurt? she asked quickly. Then realized that the thread they had been following was where Kalikath's head would have been. As she calmed down again he flamed it to oblivion.

Round 3 roll 8:Your dragon dives for a strand of thread that has fallen through the upper wings. Right before they belch forth their flame, they suddenly jerk hard to the right, almost in a roll, and quite unexpectedly. Sure enough, a gust of wind would have whipped the thread back in their face! Instead, the strand whips by, and your dragon is able to successfully flame it. [+1 Instinct]

Round 3 roll 5: You check in on your dragon to ensure they're doing all right. Thankfully, your dragon responds that they're feeling fine. All that training and practicing is coming full circle, as your dragon isn't feeling particularly fatigued. If they are suffering from a Fatigue Effect, they get a burst of renewed energy and the status is removed. [+1 Stamina] If your dragon isn't suffering, you are allowed to quote a fellow wingmate (must be in your same wing) who is suffering the effect! Your dragon trumpets at them encouragingly, making them feel better, and giving them a renewed burst of energy and effort. Remove Fatigue Effect from one wingmate!

Round 3, roll 1: By Faranth! You and your dragon pull off a pretty awesome move to catch some Thread that's fallen through. You're able to save one of your Wingmates! Quote one of your Wingmates who took damage this Round! This will remove damage and any possible negative effect from that roll!

Almost as soon as they had returned, another call for firestone. Though C'lusi wasn't feeling quite as confident about it, Macuith gave them no choice. As soon as Bayeth made the request, the blue answered. We'll be there soon, handsome!

And with that, the blue went flying back into the fray.

Unfortunately, by the time they got there, the winds were strong, and Thread was practically everywhere. Though the blue tried to get into the right position, C'lusi's back was still on fire, and in a rare moment, he actually felt uncertain. This was a bad idea . . .

You can do this, Mine. Just one toss. Macuith encouraged, trying to soothe the pain with a wave of love. Well, it was now or never. Though C'lusi threw the stone it . . . fell short.

. . . and that's when the Thread blew Bayeth's way.

Focused and centered, M'aze and Zeath began to Flame the Thread as it fell from the upper altitude once more. A huge sheet managed to get through, though, and they both knew there was no way they'd be able to Flame it without getting injured in the process. A quick blink Between and they watched it fall, now above the danger. It would have to be up to the lower altitudes to break that massive sheet up and demolish it.

Between Accuracy: 7

It seemed thinking about their loved ones really helped them focus. They were accurately flaming one after another piece of thread. But just then, a large clump, moving faster than the rest, zoomed towards the ground. Takarath was paying attention and flamed it easily.

Round 1 Day 1

[Roll 1/5]
    16. You appear from Between only to find yourself in the perfect spot to catch a sliver of Thread. You successfully flame it down easily. [+1 Target Accuracy]

[Roll 2/5]
    8. Your dragon dives for a strand of thread that has fallen through the upper wings.

[Roll 3/5]
    6. A strong gust of wind suddenly pushes you off course and right into a sliver of Thread! If you're a bronze or brown, you or your dragon take a scathing hit, unable to get out of the way. [Minor Damage -3 HP] If you're a blue or green, you wind up twisting easily out of the way, flaming it down successfully! [+1 Stamina]

[Roll 4/5]
    1. Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls. Their flaming aim will go down, and they might be slower to dodge out of Thread's way. [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 3 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. Should you roll a prompt with the possibility of damage, take the max damage allotted for your size/color automatically but it will also end the Tongue Bitten Effect immediately.]

[Roll 5/5]
    16. You appear from Between only to find yourself in the perfect spot to catch a sliver of Thread. You successfully flame it down easily. [+1 Target Accuracy]

[Wingleader Roll 1]
14-16. If Wingleader you actually are on top of things today! You're here to look out for your wingmates and your seconds, and in this case, you manage to do both! Quote one your Wingseconds, or Wingrider and nullify any negative effects & negative HP from their most recent roll! This can include Wingleader/Wingsecond rolls! If Wingsecond you find yourself panicking. In a rough moment, you witness a catastrophe about to go down! Do you save one from Thread about to hit them, warn another they're flying directly into another's flame!? Who do you save!? Quote a Single Wingmate and have them lose -5 HP!

Round 1 Day 2
[Roll 1]
    13. Trying valiantly to catch some thread, your dragon flames a bit sooner than you would have preferred. Surprisingly enough, the flame is long, hot, and sustained longer than usual. Your dragon manages to flame the clump and return to their position in their wing. [+1 Flame Length]

[Roll 2]

[Roll 3]

[Roll 4]

[Roll 5]

[Wingleader Roll 2]
5-7. If a Wingleader, you were so focused on chewing out one of your wingriders who pulled a stupid move, that you actually miss catching a large clump of Thread that's falling right past you. A nearby wingmate winds up taking the hit -- as they were busy flaming a different clump of Thread and hadn't time to notice. Quote a Single Wingmate and have them lose -5 HP! If a Wingsecond you actually are on top of things today! You're here to look out for your wingmates and your Wingleader, and in this case, you manage to do both! Quote your Wingleader, fellow Wingsecond, or Wingrider and nullify any negative effects & negative HP from their most recent roll! This can include Wingleader/Wingsecond rolls!

Dormith could at least appreciate the flare that only a blue could offer in presentation, rumbling pleasantly at Macuith as his rider...well, completely missed the throw on the first bag of firestone. W'dre watched as it sailed by. Had it been any other instance, the young man may have found humor in it.

But high stress times left him a bit more stoic than usual, and he caught the second throw with little problem.

Thank you for the stone - and your presence Dormith seemed to find the entire thing amusing, at the very least. He wasn't quite as skilled in the flirting department, but he saw no harm in returning at least some of the blue's attentions with a mental nudge of his own.

Then he was distracted, hit in the back by a clump of thread that sent him between with a bellow of anger, then back again, eyes whirling red and orange. Oh, absolutely unacceptable!

It doesn't look back up here, at least.

Just as they finished rising to their proper height, a heavy cloud of ash blew their way.
