I didn't think it was actually a TOS violation.

it COULD fall under either:

impersonate another person or access another Member's account without permission

OR:

misrepresent the source, identity, or content of information transmitted via Gaia Online, for example, claiming a created work as your own that is not yours

but that would be stretching it.

as is, the tos is a contract between gaia and its members and therefore must be interpreted LITERALLY to have any true value.

so, since there's nothing SPECIFICALLY about mirror codes in the tos OR rules and regulations, its currently NOT against tos.
