Help on Leafgreen?

I've given up on the elite four...but I still want to beat them...can anyone give me a good team to beat them?

my team is Venasuar, Primeape, Dodrio,Starmie, and Gengar...sorrie i dont have a sixth one yet....im still looking for one but i defeated the elite four many times with those five. anyone wanna tip me on my sixth pokemon should be?

Just keep training 6 pokemon that make a well rounded team. It sometimes takes time, but it always results in success in the end.

Well, I'll recommend a few teams for you....

Charizard/ Moltres/ Ninetails/ Arcanine/ Rapidash
Starmie/ Gyarados/ Poliwrath/ Vaporeon/ Blastoise
Raichu/ Magneton/ Electabuzz/ Zapdos/ Electrode/ Jolteon
Exeggutor/ Venusaur
Golem/ Rhydon/ Sandslash
Gengar/ Alakazam

Just mix and match these guys, depending on your beginner Pokemon. I certainly wouldn't recommend duplicating types- use one of each type. Also, when teaching your Pokemon attacks, don't duplicate types of attacks! I call this a "specialist" Pokemon. Specialist Pokemon get themselves into heaps of trouble more often than not. To illustrate my point, I'll provide an example.

Pikachu
Sample Moveset:
Thundershock
Thunder
Thunder Wave
Thunder Bolt

Having all electric moves makes this Pikachu a "specialist." It only has one element of attacks.

Okay, so this Pikachu can kill Water types no problem, but what about everything else? How about leaving it better prepared to fight more than one type?

Another Sample Moveset:
Thunder
Submission
Body Slam
Double Team/ Light Screen

So for this moveset, Pikachu has gained an upper hand against the following types:
Ice (Submission)
Rock (Submission)
Normal (Submission)
Dark (Submission)
Steel (Submission)

Not bad, this Pikachu has the potential to take out seven types of Pokemon! (The above five, plus Water types and Flying types.)

Don't want to take recoil damage from Submission but still want to threaten seven types of Pokemon? Evolve your Pikachu to Raichu then teach your new Raichu Brick Break! It's an effective Fighting- type attack that has 100% accuracy (unlike Submission) and it cuts through your opponent's Light Screen and Reflect attacks.

I think mine was al lv 60 Pokemon.

Raichu , Snorlax, Dragonite, Lapras, Charizard and Moltres.

I think the Kanto Pokemon league would probably be the Hardest in my opinion.

The Kanto League is easy on B/R/Y, but they made it a little more difficult on FireRed/LeafGreen. Also, if they were hard the FIRST time around, prepare to be stumped because their levels go up after you beat them once. Talk about killer.
Of course, Agatha now becomes a royal pain in the arse because her stupid Ghost Pokemon levitate over the Earthquake that used to kill them in one shot. Suddenly I have to switch from Ground to Psychic, and we all know the lack of good Psychics in the First Gen (Sure, there's Alakazam, but I get tired of using him. xP). I refuse to use Jynx. scream

That's sort of what makes Starmie good for taking on the FireRed / LeafGreen Elite Four as well (although you have to teach him Psychic as he doesn't learn it on his own.)

I'd offer to help except... well, the last time I gave somebody a good Starmie, I bred more Staryu for the next few weeks and put off trying to get another good one.

See, Staryu / Starmie might be useful for the Elite Four, but its real use is in the Battle Tower in the 4th gen, especially for getting BP. He's able to single-handedly take on the Tower Tycoon (first encounter.)

I beat them all with just my starter. I don't much like teams, I prefer using just one or two super powered Pokemon. My current team is Charizard and Vaporeon, both level 86.

Here's how I do it.

Pick your starter - Squirtle or Charmander are the best, in my opinion.

Battle every single trainer you find - Don't avoid them to save time or anything, challenge and beat them.

Beat the Gym Leaders, etc.

When you rescue Silph, start from the second floor and beat out every Rocket in there.

If you just beat every single trainer you find, by the time to get to the Elite Four, your starter will be either in the high 70's or early 80's. Then it doesn't even matter if you have the type advantage, you have the level advantage.

Have the pokemon in your team at least one of them strong against a certain trainer type.
