I can name a bunch of bands that nobody has heard of.
Death To Juliet - a small town band with music relating to real life things...they are only in like, their earlier 20's.
The Pink Spiders - been around for a while now, but I don't ever hear anybody talk about them

Madina Lake
Lostprophets
New Years Day
Jack's Mannequin
Friends For HIRE
To Be Juliet's Secret - a small band of 5 teens that write music about love, but they are amazing
JTX - I reccomend listening to their song Party Like A Rockstar
The Medic Droid - are no longer together, but still amazing
Caroline's Spine - listen to Sullivan or Attention Please

Plenty, really. Bands and individual artists such as Big Bang, Within Temptation, Bao Thy, DBSK (sorta...), Utada Hikaru, BoA, and 2 Much.

But My all time fav. that hardly anyone knows of his Big Bang. They are a korean boy band. Really popular in Korea and the Asian continent, but not so much in America.

You guys should really listen to their English songs. I love listening to their music, never get tired of 'em. heart

But thankfully, I have at least one or two friends that have heard of these bands. Although a lot of my friends don't really listen to this type of music. It's a bit disappointing since I have no one to talk with about them, but that's fine as long as someone will listen to me spazz over them. x]

I've heard of a lot of them, and I know that Within Temptation, Hikaru, and BoA are pretty popular. Most people know who they are, at least the ones I talk to. If you look up Utada on youtube, you'll get a couple hundred videos.
I don't like sharing my music because America ruins everything, and a lot of my favorite bands are Visual Kei - which we haven't ruined yet!
An up-and-coming band I love is Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet - They just went major! So people will probably hear of them soon enough ^_^ Umm.. but probably not as much here.
