Well I'm taking Intro to Electrical Engineering but I'm having some trouble understanding this lab and its concepts. If you could just enplane the function of a capacitor and the way amplitude and peak-to-peak works?

a capacitors is 2 conductors separated by a dielectric(salty liquid) and when theirs an voltage potential difference between them an electric field is generated and stores energy peak to peak amplitude is the measure of change between peak and trough by meters
