I travel in awe of the University
This place that was made to be drawn
Every building a masterpiece
Every line and shape smooth and perfect
Even the sky is just the right color
Even the view of the bay has a boat in just the right place
So perfect
I whirl and gape like some bewildered tourist
In the filthy market streets so far from here
And when I see the tree
The massive ancient tree that towers over all the buildings
So perfect
It shoots me back to that time when I was a child
I ran outside in the rain to climb a maple tree
And only when I had twined my legs in the uppermost branches
Swaying wildly in the howling wind
Only then did I hear the thunder
And high in the branches
High with terror
I grinned and howled at the clouds
I rode out the storm
