i just got out our sony camcorder wich we have used about 8 times. its out of battery so i charge it for an hour, switched it on just to see if i still remembered how to work it and found that it was just a black screen on the lcd screen and the other bit (for the life of me i cant remember what that bit is called sweatdrop ). at this point i thought "hmmm, maybe it just needs more charging time" so i leave it for another 2 hours, same thing happened. i play around with the settings to no avail and the reset button does nothing so i look on the internet for solutions (it also plays previously recorded tapes perfectly). i found HUNDREDS of cases where the same thing has happened and guess what? every case was conviniently outside the warranty time and the repair costs half the retail price of the thing! NEVER buying sont products ever again scream
