We should be nice to them because Jesus was homeless!

How was Jesus homeless? He traveled places to teach of God, but that doesn't mean He was homeless. Besides, shouldn't we be nice to all of God's people?

Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." Mathew 8:20, Luke 9:58
In other words he didn't have a house to sleep in. That's why he stayed at other people's houses. Thus he was homeless.
I'm just trying to expland your ideas about scripture so that it can apply in this day anad age. Don't freak out about it. This is one of the things I do. Just like my "Vampires are like those that aren't saved" thread.
Anyways the moral of the post is everytime you see a homeless person just think it's Jesus.

The building isn't what makes it the home. And I do agree that we should be nice to every one. Jesus told us to love one another.

If Heaven is Jesus' home, and Heaven was not on earth, then I suppose while he was on Earth he was homeless.

And if we consider Heaven our home as well, then we are all homeless.

That makes me think of the hymn that goes "This world is not my home, I'm just passing through"

Not necessarily. I view earth as temporary place, but I am by no means homeless. Since the building is not what makes the home...I am home where ever my family is and where ever my Heavenly Father is, home can be any where for me.

And that makes me think of that Carrie Underwood song, Temporary Home.

Everyone has a home. But it's not what everyone automatically thinks. The place i live in, where i sleep and eat, it is not my home. It is a war place. School is my refuge, or home as i like to call it. Some people travel the world (or their country) and they enjoy that. I don't think that they are homeless because of it, though.

I understand he connection now, Rose. I just tend to be a more serious and literal person. xD
