embassing but i need prayers (answered)

I have a crush on someone but he's married. And I'm friends with both him and his wife. They are very fun people to be around.

Please please please, if you are able to, pray that God would change how I see him. I'd rather see him as a good friend and even as an older brother figure.

I don't come between bf/gf and married couples. It's something I will not do, ever.

It may seem silly but I'm feeling a significant amount of heartbreak over this. I'd rather feel this and turn to God than cause problems by pursuing my own desires.

And if you have any words of advice, please share?

I'm very proud of you for being able to admit this to us. It means that you are accountable for your own thoughts, and accepting yourself means you are truly seeking forgiveness and change.

I will pray for you. Remember, you are a work in progress and God will use your tough times to shape you into who you are!

it sounds like this person really means a lot to you. But, you are expecting more out of him than he is able to provide.
I have a similar problem that I am still dealing with today - I have a very good friend, but I expect too much out of him and I get hurt when he doesn't deliver. But he never should've had to do anything in the first place!

Take some time to think and pray about this. He has his own life, and you have yours. You are better off worrying about the direction your life needs to take.

He, his wife and the woman living with them all mean a lot to me. I haven't known them very long but when I first met them, it felt like I've known them all my life.

I kind of just burst into tears....I just want to be able to call him friend, nothing more....and it hurts so bad.
I pray that these feelings dissolve quickly.

While I still have strong feelings for him, I am feeling like they are more of what a close friend would feel. I am grateful for the prayers and for Jesus' help. Thank you!

I know I still need to be vigilant. I am so grateful that these feelings are not as overwhelming as they first were.

I just wanted to say thank you to all who prayed for me about this. I no longer have those feelings for him. In fact, the more I got to know him the more it was revealed to me that he is not the person for me. But, the more I am getting to know him and his wife, the more I am loving them like friends and family. That is the kind of relationship I was seeking with them and thank God that He guides us :3
