Christian Version of The Lady Gaga Song- Telephone

I'm trying to write a christian version of the song "Telephone" by Lady Gaga. This is what I have so far: "Hello Hello baby

just a second it's my favorite verse they're gonna read
and I cannot text you with a bible in my hand, eh?"

The problem is that I'm stuck on the line: "You should've made some plans with me, you knew that I was free."
Anyone know how to rewrite that line?
