So! Some of us name our Pokemon because we can. Why not tell us what they are and possibly why you name them that way? =D
My Teams (will add more?)
HeartGold
Amai-chan (Female Meganium) - Amai is the Japanese word for "sweet." Chikorita is a cute Pokemon, so I named her that. -chan because she's a girl.
Shinidoki (Female Red Gyarados) - I THINK it means "time to die." I don't know why, but seeing a Gyarados means you're gonna get pwned.
Ion (Male Pikachu) - An ion may refer to an electrically charged atom, but that is NOT where I was getting at. I named him so because of a Seiyuu Joke (<-- Don't worry, this image's safe.) I found out not too long ago. This Pikachu is named after Fon Master Ion from Tales of the Abyss. You must be wondering WHY I have a Pikachu? Well, this one can FLY!! (I'm not kidding. I did not hack my game either.)
Lagnua (Male Lucario) - Okay, I probably had a nickname block for him. I just named him Laguna because it sounded cool =P (And unfortunately, it's easily typo'd into Lagnus, another character from an obscure game)
Enshoku (Female Arcanine) - It means "Scarlet Flame." Arcanine's a Fire type and I thought it's fitting for her.
Satori (Female Gardevoir) - It's a term meaning "enlightenment" or more literally, "understanding," from the Buddhist religion. I'm not Buddhist, but I just drew words out of a hat =P
EDIT: NEW! Black and White
Sam (Male Serperior) - A homage to Samuel L. Jackson akin to Snakes on a Plane. MOTHA F-ING SNAKE ON MY MOTHA F-ING PLANE.
Vivaldi (Female Jellicent) - I don't know, I find Vivaldi as a royal name, considering Jellicent's appearance. She's also one of my favorite tanks biggrin
Gordo (Male Ferroseed at the moment) - You know those spiky enemies in Kirby? Yeah, those jerks.
Keith (Braviary) - IN AMERICA!
Spica (Female Volcarona) - Err...this was a complete spur of the moment.
Alivain (Female Lucario) - Her name means "Sea Spirit" which is kinda ironic. I like how it sounds though. In fact, I was surprised this Lucario was born a female. She's special that she was bred to have Bullet Punch.
